choice is Coronado Springs standard room or All star music preferred room ?
We are travelling next Oct 2019 ( 3 females)

There’s less walking with an all star preferred room unless you get lucky to get near the lobby etc but then there’s still a walk to the pool. And waiting for the buses to go around the hotel sucks. If it was me I’d pick all star preferred unless you want a water slide that’s the only positive of Coronado vs all star in my book. :confused3

I would choose Coronado Springs....by October 2019 construction should be (almost?) done and it is a very pleasant resort. Good sized rooms with nice decor. You can check out maps of the resorts by using www.touringplans.com room selection function. I stayed there in April and really enjoyed it.

I've never stayed at CS but all Stars are getting queen beds. They are almost done with movies and music should be next.
That’s great news! I admit I haven’t kept up on the work over there because I can’t fit my family in a room (the pack-and-play takes over) and I just recently had my first kid-free dinner out with my husband in 2 years last week if that gives you any idea how often we travel alone o_O.

Another vote for the Coronado. The grounds are beautiful and I think by Oct. 2019, the new restaurant over the water will be done.

Coronado Springs is a moderate, ASMu is a value. Larger rooms. More comfortable beds, IMO. (but that could be changed with renovations)
We also like the added amenities at moderates when the budget permits. Paying extra for specific preferred areas is nice at ASMu, but I would rather put that money towards a moderate stay. CSR rooms are comfortable and have an appealing design. CSR is definitely on the top of our revisit list as soon as the construction is finished!
FYI:
You have great pools, hot tub, a salon, fitness centre and beautiful grounds. We really enjoy the dining at CSR (but we are in the minority there). a new restaurant over the water sounds divine. Four bus stops mean that you aren't far from a bus stop wherever you are located.

We love CSR and, although we also really enjoy our ASMU stays, I would pick CSR.

Enjoy!

Easy vote for Coronado, a beautiful resort. Absolute night and day difference between that and an All-Star.

Coronado for 3 ppl for sure. Queen beds! Although im wondering if Music will be done with the refurb by Oct 2019?? If they are, you might be fine in Music. They'll have one queen and a pull down bed (are the pull down beds double?). In that case, music might be fine. But Coronado landscape is more lush and beautiful. Its a different vibe too.

CS gets my vote. I liked the location better. Closer to most everything so the bus rides weren't as long. Also, if you go up to one of the landings on the higher floors, you can see the fireworks from HS. :)

Apples and Oranges

CSR hands down :thumbsup2

CSR is our favorite moderate and just about our favorite resort on property.
ASMu is our least favorite resort on property.

Coronado Springs, for sure! It's been a few years since I've stayed there but we really enjoyed it, and it's much quieter/relaxed than All Start Music. ASMu isn't bad though- we've had rooms in the Broadway section of the hotel, which is more secluded and quieter. ASMu isn't a bad option, but personally, I much prefer CSR!
