Which would you choose
Suite at AOA or Riverside standard room...We are 2 adults and 13 year old ...thank you

I really think it depends on your budget. A suite at AOA is much more expensive than a room at POR. Although I love the Cars suites at AOA and the feature pool, I am afraid that they might be too juvenile for a 13 year old.

I lLOVE POR! I have visited all the Deluxe resorts but I still love POR the best (although I would stay at AKL in a heartbeat if the budget allowed. POR has a great pool and food court and has the boat to DS. I think Alligator Bayou would appeal to a 13 yr old.

At 13 some of the magic for AoA will be gone. PoR is my familyes 2nd favorite resort (we love FQ). PoR has a lot, a nice pool, great atmosphere and a full service restaurant. Plus you can take the boat down to Disney Springs which my girls think of as another ride by itself.

Well wait a second....I wasn't 13 too long ago. I would have loved to stay at AOA when I was 13 and if you're getting a suite that means your 13 y/o gets their own room I wouldn't be so quick to jump to POR. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but POR has that bus system where it has multiple bus stops (right?)
It obviously depends on your budget and whether you intend on staying in the room more than the parks, but in the end I'd vote AOA or at least consider it.

I would love to stay in a suite at AoA and I'm 24. I would've loved staying in a suite at any age. I think it depends on how Disney crazy your 13 yo is.

I will add that I love POR, but there isn't a lot of theming there.

POR.... it is my favorite resort on property! and we always get a standard room there

I stayed in a cars suite at AOA with 2 eighteen year olds (I'm in my 40's) and it was wonderful.
The extra space & bathroom were the game changer-and the food court and pools were fab.

POR is BORING as all get out IMO - AoA suite all the way! Especially with a 13 yo. Having your own room and bathroom? Sweet. To me, POR looks like an apartment complex you can find in any nice suburb in the US.

And really - the Cars section is really over the top. I personally love the Lion King and Nemo movies more - but the whole decor in the Cars section is just great.
