If you only two days in Disney what resort would you pick? My wife and I already booked our trip to disney w/ free dining but I'm going to surprise her with a few days in a DVC suite. We're going to go in april 09" so if we like our rental I'll buy a DVC membership for her to really give her the surprise of her life.

thanks everyone

It all depends upon your personal taste. If you like visiting the MK, stay at VWL. If Epcot and MGM are your favorites, try for the Boardwalk or Beach Club. If you want to relax and have lots of space, go for OKW. Animal lover? Book at Animal Kingdom. You cant go wrong with any of the resorts, but personal taste can make the choice a little easier.

If you are going for free dining, that isn't a very long time away in the world of DVC reservations - you may not have a lot of choice. I'd make a list to get your rental with in order of what you want - it is possible your first or second choice will not be available (its possible, but unlikely for September, that nothing will be available - some nights are completely unavailable for October and December which are busier DVC times). I do hope you get your first choice.

They all have their charms - and different people are charmed by different things.

wdwfan1 hit it on the head. All the DVC resorts are great resorts! It is just a matter of personal preference.

Good luck!!

love the thought of a safari?: VAK
enjoy the outdoors, & woodsy themeing: VWL
like the beach & water parks?: BCV
prefer a more adult atmosphere & abundance of nighttime activities: BWVs
prefer golf & a relaxed atmosphere? SSR
larger rooms in a relaxed resort? OKW

each also is close to at least one park (e.g., both BWV's & BCV's are a short walk to EPCOT (longer walk to MGM), you can walk to DTD from SSR, etc).

remember that different resorts you choose may have different contract end dates, also some have less rooms & harder to get into at peak times. also, consider what size accomadations (studio, 1 or 2-bdrm, GV) you prefer, including how many points needed during the times you like to go.

our personal favorite is the BWV (preferably with BW view ~ available only on points ressies). we own BWV, BCV, & SSR, but BWV has our hearts: love the walk to EPCOT, the elegance (but not stuffy), quieter than BCV but with a myriad of activities in the eve.

the only way to decide: research, research, research........then enjoy your decision :)

There's no room for personal opinion clouding up this subject..
Everyone knows, deep down inside, that VWL & AKV are clearly the superior resorts. ;)

Just kidding of course... Although they are OUR favorite by a long shot.
