Busch Gardens in Va or Fl? We've never been to either and are thinking of giving them a try if we can't afford Disney this year.

I think Va is better.. My recommendation is to go online for BG Va and purchase a platinum pass- good for 2 years-- good unlimited trips at Va, Fl, & seaworld -- and San Diego .. Check out the list-- you purchase it and activate it during your first trip-- fl doesn't have this deal- even though you can go there on this deal-- purchase and go to Va to get it started then chair the others as many times as you like in a 2 year span...:goodvibes

I agree, I live about an hour from BG in Williamsburg and have the platinum 2 year pass. I've used it at Seaworld twice along with several trips to Williamsburg. However, there are more thrill rides in Tampa.

Virginia. The park is very clean and child friendly. The last time we went to the one in Tampa, I thought there were many adults running around who had a few too many beers. Just my observation.;)

We consider BG Williamsburg our home park. We live about 2 1/2 hours away - but visit 4-5 times a season. We bought the platinum pass last year - used it at BGVA, SW, and BG Tampa. We loved Tampa because of all of the animals - almost like going to Animal Kingdom. This past Dec. was our first visit to BG Tampa and will certainly not be our last as we had a great day there. There is even a bus that will take you from SW in Orlando to BG Tampa. Unfortunately, there is a $10 charge if you are a Platinum Pass holder - but if you buy your tickets just length of stay - the bus ride is free. We weren't told about the fee, so it was waived - but the $30 (for our family) would have been worth it to leave the driving to someone else!

I don't think you can go wrong with either park! We are actually going to Williamsburg on March 20 - the park is only open to Pass holders and Jack Hanna will be there with some animals. The park opens the next weekend March 27 to the public.

We've only been to the one in VA, but we enjoyed it. Keep in mind that there are a lot of other things to do in that general area as well....a water park, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, VA Beach, VA Beach aquarium, etc. We spent 7 days in the area, of which I think only 2 were at Busch Gardens.

I have been to both - the one in Tampa a couple of times, and we visited the Williamsburg one last June. We loved how clean and beautiful the Williamsburg park is, but we all thought the rides are better in Tampa. My boys are coaster fanatics, and are begging to go to Tampa again.

We love them both. They are very different. I think you'd like either!

Tampa has the Africa/savanah feel, and Williamsburg is European. I'd go to both every year if I weren't in Maine!

We like Tampa better!:thumbsup2

All I know is when we went to Williamsburg (in June) it was so HOT and we couldn't find any shade or respite from the sun/heat in the park. Also had a hard time finding a place to sit and eat. We were all miserable. Also, my elderly parents were with us - and it's alot of walking uphill.
