Which one is better BWV or BCV

We are looking at buying resale DVC points. BWV points seem to be cheaper to buy then the BCV.

What are the real differences?

I know that Beach Club is closer to Epcot. From what we can tell beach club has a nicer pool.
I agree a large part is personal preference, I would not buy either without having stayed at one and visited the other. Personally I like BWV better side by side plus it is both cheaper to buy AND has a cheaper reservation option in the standard view. I think most would put the pool better at BC but I don't think it's that much better, certainly not worth paying more for. BWV is closer to DHS & BCV to EPCOT but neither enough to make a real difference IMO. Both expire 2042 so both will be a relatively poor value compared to some other choices though BCV worse than BWV from a $$ standpoint. The larger resort gives more contracts to chose from for BWV also.

It is definitely a personal preference. I have stayed at both, but own points at BCV. I have not found any negatives about BCV - love the pool, close to Epcot and DHS, many eating and drinking options, quiet areas to relax, etc. We are not in the room a lot, so we really enjoy the resort itself. At BWV, our room was way down at the end of a hallway - a very long walk. We didn't care much for the décor and the clown pool is definitely creepy. It is nice, just not our taste. That said, I love the Epcot resort area. We love to walk/run around the lake and visit the various shops and restaurants. You can't go wrong with points in this area.

If you have a Garden/pool view at BWV & are in the Village Green section ( main courtyard, then you'll definitely have a view of Illuminations..Especially in a high floor....Might I add that Pool view also had a view of the frozen fireworks this past summer over in HS as well..

And 1 last thing...The back shortcut from BCV to EPCOT is way faster than any portion of BWV....

All said & done..I love BWV

For what it's worth... Out of a handful of trips, we haven't been able to get beach club at the 7th month window. Boardwalk garden/pool view has always been available. We don't even go on the "black out dates." Wife and I have said, if we were going to add on, it would be beach club. Mainly because of the 7th month availability, no other metrics. Peace one Love

As to resale prices, BWV is generally lower than BCV although these days the difference between the two has been shrinking. One of the main reasons for the price difference is just historical. BWV opened several years before BCV and most of the original BWV owners paid an average price per point about $15 less than those who later purchased BCV with the result that a spread has always existed in the resale market because BWV owners do not need to charge as much as BCV owners to break even or make a profit in the sale.
Thanks for the historical info!

We're going on next year's eastbound transatlantic DCL cruise, and I just booked BCV for 3 nights before the cruise. I love the lazy river part of SAB, and need to get my swimming fix before heading for Europe!

We have both BCV and BWV points. I mostly book Standard View at BWV to save points.

We started out at BWV, and added on at BWV, have about the same number of points at each, 250.
