Which one do you choose?

We always have a villa, despite there only being three of us. Just the feeling of having all that space - and 2 or 3 bathrooms! However - on the past 2 trips we have also had one night in a Universal hotel - for that touch of luxury and the FOTL access!

We always stay in a villa or condo, unless we go to Dubai or a city where it is impractical. We always hire a car and therefore it is no hassle to drive to do any shopping. You can pick up donuts for breakfast, or eat full brekkies at an eatery, lunch is fruit or salad & cold meat and eat out most evenings.

We enjoy the space in a villa or a condo, but then we have 2 teenagers, so who wouldn't!!

On site for us if we only want to "do Disney" otherwise it has to be an offsite hotel (as we don't drive) in the LBV area with transport to the parks.

Villa, even if it's only just the two of us in Orlando. We have stayed on-site and enjoyed it, especially when we stayed at the AKL, but all the space and facilities of a villa are more important to us than staying in a nice Disney hotel.

We have become used to a private pool outside our door; a full kitchen; laundry facilities; separate bedroom, dining space and living space; facilities such as an X-Box, a computer, broadband internet, DVD players; ease of parking the car in a prvate garage and not having to walk a couple of hundred metres to our room; etc; etc. Careful choice of your villa means that you can be very close to the parks if you want to (for example, our last couple of villas were closer to Animal Kingdom than some of Disney's own hotels), so being off-site does not have to mean long distances to get to the attractions. All in all we think villas are just perfect for us.

We stay in Villas on site as we are DVC members. As others have mentioned previously we have tried the others but they are not for us. I notice that there are many DVC members on this thread.

Looking forward to the next 48 years of DVC!!!

I love staying on-site at Disney and at the moment it suits DD's 11 & 6. Our only experience of an off-site hotel was not a good one!!

Our villa.
We bought it after we had stayed at Carribean Beach and Wilderness Lodge a couple of times. We liked the theming but the rooms are soooo small and no better than a Travelodge.
With our three bed villa and pool, we have room to move, I have all my programmes on the Tv and its truly our second home

We were lucky. Last time we lost the netting around the pool, but the house was fine.
Like everything, you have to make sure you get a good Insurance company, but of course it does cost a bit more...

We chose an off-site hotel near the parks because a villa and fly drive was so expensive. Now all we need to do is gear up the nerves for driving out there!! Hope it's not too bad but the roads look huge!!

you may find your hotel has free shuttle buses or it may be on the lynx bus route which is cheap and regular so you may not have to drive if you don't fancy it. This year is my third year of not driving out there and it is quite easy to get around, also spent last year approx $20 for the three of us in total transport costs so was MUCH cheaper than a car

i always stay on site, mostly coz i like to feel im on holiday and a villa doesnt really do that for me, with the washing machine etc.
