Which one day park

We are planning a weekend trip in October with hopefully doing a Halloween party on the Sunday we are there, I had originally planned on doing MK the whole day that Sat but now I am thinking maybe a different park?? This is our first WDW trip we have been to DL twice and I was looking at MK attractions and a lot are similar to DL so should I stick with the whole day in MK along with the Halloween party day or try a different park?

That's a tough question because there is so much to see and do in WDW! For my family, we would probably opt to spend the day in Epcot because of the Food & Wine Festival. Epcot has a fair number of attractions (although, one of the biggest is Soarin' and that's identical to the DCA version) and we can spend hours in World Showcase. That being said, I would probably still opt to spend the whole day in MK. While a number of the rides have the same name, very few of the rides are actually identical to DLR version. For example, both parks have the Haunted Mansion, but the MK version has a much longer/different first part of the ride (after the "elevator"). Once the MHSSHP starts, there is so much to do that is specific to the party, you might not actually have a lot of time to ride attractions. MNSSHP has an amazing parade and firework shows, unique character meet and greets, stage shows, and other activities.

Thanks, we may one day go to WDW for a longer trip but we just love DL so much, the only reason we are going this time is because it is a lot closer for us and I won't take my kids out of school for a vacation and we wanted to do a Halloween Party. I keep saying it is our last DL trip but I am actually thinking about planning one next summer again
