We are planing on going to U.s & I.OA in July and Nov. Everytime we go to Orlando we either stay off site or @ a Disney ::MickeyMo resort. This time we decided to stay onsite, The on site resorts have great perks , but dont know which resort to chose. I was thinking about Royal Pacific because w/ the annual pass holder discount it's not a bad rate. (We are usually @ the parks from the moment we wake up untill the park closes. So all we really use the resort for is to grab a shower and some zzzz's. What resort would you guys recommend?

Are you talking this July?

Onsite resorts will probably be sold out, especially the HRH.
If you can get the RPR it would be luck, and there won't be a big discount using the AAA or APH code. November will be a different story, as it's non peak.

I was on the website a couple of days ago and rooms were still available. I didn't book because we are for sure going in Nov. But I'm still trying in convince my DH to go in July (just for a weekend). The thing is I have a week of in July from work, but my DH still has to work.

We have not stayed at the PB yet but we have stayed at the HRH and the RPR. My teenage sons like HRH due to the theme but I like the RPR--same reason. They are both very nice and I doubt you would be disappointed with either.

My personal favorite is the Hard Rock Hotel but you wouldn't be disappointed with any of the Universal hotels.

Here's a link to a great thread on the Universal Hotels board from people like me who have been lucky enough to stay at all three:

Lots of good info there to make an informed decision.

We stayed at PB and loved it. I honestly don't think you would be disappointed with any of the hotels at Universal.

Theyre all very nice hotels but we enjoyed the Hard Rock. I'd say that RP is the lesser of the 3.

We've stayed at RPR twice and have liked it both times. And with the PAP, the prices were reasonable for all the amenities staying onsite gives. Although next time, we're thinking on staying at PB.

If that's the case, then I recommend RPR. Best rates, close to IOA and CityWalk. Rooms are smallish, tho', unless you get a suite which is nice and roomy. I stayed in 3400 last time, a pool view suite, and was happy as a clam.
