He everyone,
Getting very excited now as we are almost down to single digits!:cool1:

We will be doing online check in for our stay at OKW and want to request which area/block to stop.

We have narrowed down the areas we would like to stay to the quiet pools at Millers Road and South Point as we are not fussed with the 'fun pool' at Hospitality house and also the pool where the turtle shack is located. We would like to be near the laundry room and as close to the pool as possible. I believe that Wayne stays at the Millers Rd pool in blocks 18 or 19.

Could anyone offer any opionions on preference and list any pro's and con's as to why.

Thanks for helping

Gaz

Cant help on those areas but we stayed in 28 on *****ular road and loved the location but we dont use the pools so that didnt bother us, we were firstbus pick up and first drop off and a shrt walk to hh

Also think about requesting a floor level for the following reasons.

Although there's only a few floors in each block the only lift's (elevators) are within buildings #62, 63 and 64 so if anyone in your party has a medical condition or finds difficulty in navigating stairs then you might want to request a ground floor room (first floor in the States).

But most of the ground (first) floor balconys and windows are covered by lush vegetation and this can obscure views and light, so in this case we would suggest a top floor room, that's if the stairs is not an issue. Good luck in your request and have a wonderful time

Sorry cant help we had top floor in block 64 which was great. Overlooked 7th hole. Really quiet heard no noise of any kind. We could walk to penninsular road and catch the bus. If we had missed one we wanted and it passed on opp side of the road then we walked to Hospitality house to catch it there. We actually liked being near to HH.

We stayed on millers road last year in room 1724 and it was a great location. Not to far from the bus stop and quiet pool and a nice short walk to HH. Most of the time I had the quiet pool to myself.

OKW is a lovely resort we can't wait to go back.

We are here at the mo and are staying in 1711. I love this location - close to HH and v close to a bus stop too.

We have done on line check in and requested blocks 46-45. All preperation done and ready to leave on Saturday. Not looking forward to the drive from Cornwall to Heathrow, but certainly looking forward to our flight to Miami on Sunday.
Thanks to all for comments.

We moved from building 61 as the buses braked right below our window. We moved to near the turtle pond, which was much quiter.

The one thing I would say to anyone planning a studio, is to be aware how loud the aircon is- It cuts on and off all night, and woke 2 out of 4 of us each time- It sounds like a plane engine when you are seated in the seats in the wing area.

This bothered 2 of us probably enough to prevent us going back to this resort. On the other hand the other 2 did not stir. Other than that it was lovely. Not sure if the 1beds have the same issues. The hotel did say to us that that the air con is their biggest source of complaints.

We had building 62 and found it a perfect location for our family:)

We have stayed in Building 45 at OKW and loved the location.

By the way, what dates are you at RPR - we are planning a mini DIS meet there between 20th-24th August.

We are there from 8th to the 10th unfortunately! Would have been fun. Is there anything more you can tell us about block 45 location? Are the laundry facilities good and what about the pool? Thanks for any advice.

Shame that we will miss you at RPR. Block 45 is a great location, just a short walk froma bus stop and a quiet pool. Only a 5-minute or so walk from Hospitality House and the main pool. Blocks 45 and 46 back onto the water so you can see the boats going past to Downtown Disney. Can't help with laundry advice, I'm afraid, as we had a 2-bedroom villa when we stayed there so had a washer/dryer in the room.

Thanks for the info. We are in a studio but may contemplate upgrading to a 1 bed depending on $. Set on 46/45 and loving the sound of the river view and quiet pool. Intending to do morning and evening park and chill in afternoon. Are you stopping at OKW this year?

No, we are at Beach Club Villas this year - from 24th to 30th so you will probably have left Disney by the time we arrive.
