Hello,
We're trying to pull together a last minute trip for Memorial Day weekend. As you might imagine
there's not much left onsite at WDW or USF. I'm looking for suggestions for nicest offsite alternative. Thanks in
advance!

Holiday Inn Family Suites has a choice of suites from Honeymoon to Kidsuites!! They Serve a FREE breakfast buffet, too! And they are only 1 mile from the WDW gates near Epcot and MGM!! We loved HIFS!
Here is the link to their sites.

as well the Marriott resort (MOWC) across the road from the Holiday Inn Family Suites are offering special rates.

We just booked 2 nites at the GAYLORD PALMS. They are running some specials and they doe have one for Memorial Day weekend. The resort looks fabulous. I can't wait. We passed on AKL to stay here.

We stayed at the Radisson Resort Parkway which was awesome! Great pools! BUT.....if you want really classy we toured two resorts that in my opinion are MUCH nicer than any deluxe resorts at Disney. The Marriott World Center or the GALYLORD PALMS. The Marriott has the most amazing pools I've ever seen and the Gaylord is just breathtakingly stunning resort with its giant tropical atrium. I would stay at these resorts over Disney anyday!! Also the Dolphin & Swan are gorgeous resorts!!

Hi: Holiday Inn family suites:

Would this be a good choice for a couple with no children, are there areas that are more adult oriented, pools etc?

How about the Peabody or Renissance? They are pricey, but may be what you want.

When we arrived in Orlando for our last Trip to Disney, we had a very nice
limo driver who gave us the "grand tour." He drove us all around on our way to the Boardwalk. I asked him what he thought were the best offsite places to stay, and he
mentioned the Hyatt Grand Cypress as being the nicest. We're staying
at the Marriott Grande Vista in a 2-bdrm, and I've only read nice things about it.
One of these trips we will try the Hyatt Grand Cypress!!!!
:) :) :)

I've had great results with last-minute bookings via biddingfortravel.com. Folks have gotten great prices on 4* and resorts. You just go to 'Orlando "and see what people have paid for priceline rooms. A friend got Marriott World Center $75 for Easter Week.

Would this be a good choice for a couple with no children, are there areas that are more adult oriented, pools etc?

I think so. There is an adult pool in another section of the resort, this is where the sweetheart suites are (1 bedroom with a jacuzzi tub) and there are. There are also residential suites with full kitchen and other traditional suites with out kids themes. I've never stayed by the adult pool though so I can't tell you about the atmosphere. Maybe someone else? You WILL see kids though, especially around the lobby and meals.

Thanks Lisa:

It is for my brother and wife. They don't mind children but like to seem them well behaved. lol.

If they are looking for a deluxe hotel, go for Galylord palms! I think there will be fewer children there & it looks so beautiful! It looks like the Opryland hotel, with the some of the rooms facing the inner courtyards, which are under glass. There are different themed areas. AND it's brand new!
