Think I'm more or less decided on dates etc now for our trip, just have to decide which of these I would do :confused3

All of the prices are for Mon 12/4/10 to Fri 30/4/10 and include Disneys 21day ultimate ticket and Disney Dining Plan for 1 adult and 1 child/adult for dining (11 yr old)

All star music - £2527.64
All star music prefered location - £2653.64
Coronado Springs - £3085.64

But I can't decide which is better value?
Is it worth paying the extra for Coronado over Music?
Are the prefered location rooms at Music worth it?

Which would you do?

we didnt like csr as too much of a business centre we found and i wouldnt pay for preferred

have you looked at pop we loved this and we have stayed at all three all stars

this year we are staying at POFQ

...we have stayed at all three all stars

Did you feel secure enough at all star music?
Just a little concerned about the external doors, as it would be just me and my DD.
I guess I shouldn't be too worried as its more secure than camping, which I've done lots of.

What did you think of All star music?

to get into any disney hotel you have to go through security!!! its very secure

we were at one of the all stars and the maid left the door open all day!!! we had everyting in the room and nothing was taken so very safe

all stars are very big and when we went full of american cheerleaders as its where alot of the familys stay when they have things on at wide world of sports

thats why we perfer pop century

Thankyou
I had heard about school age groups staying but I dont think it would be a problem for us. I think I read somewhere that it is a prob Feb/Mar when theres some big thing on locally but thats the only time of year I heard of, was that when you where there?

I haven't stayed at CSR but have stayed at AS Music. For me it is the prettiest of the All Star resorts but we were in the Country Fayre and it was a trek to the buses and food courts as it is at the bottom of the resort. I would definately stay in preferred if I was staying there. I have always felt safe at all the Disney hotels even with the external doors. We stay at Movies only because of the way it is set out you are never far from the buses and if in the Ducks you can walk to Music very easily.

We have stayed at CSR 4 times now (5th is booked for September) and love it :goodvibes I think your DD would love the main pool and slide there :thumbsup2

The pepper market also gives different options for your counter service meals.

For us CSR is worth the extra.

The bus service is great too - hardly ever have to wait and not so many longs queues for buses at closing.

For that length of trip I think the moderate upgrade would be worth it. We're staying at CSR this year, having stayed at POFQ last year, and are looking forward to visiting the Pepper Market and spending some time in the amazing looking main pool :) Not bothered about the convention centre aspect, they can do their thing and we'll do ours :thumbsup2

I think it all depends on how much time your going to spend in your hotel. I stayed at Pop last Jan and we loved it (plus got it for an excellent price with $2/£1) - but we only used it as a bed to sleep in, used the pools twice as were out at the parks for 12 hour days :scared1: It has got a really good food court (meant to be the best on property because of the choice :thumbsup2)

This year we are staying at CSR as we want to have a relaxing holiday (originally we were going to have a beach holiday) and want to spend lots of time by the pool and sunbathing as well as in the parks - so for us its worth paying more money to have more swimming pools and quiteness (plus we love the theming!).

The convention crowd doesnt bother me at all - I actually prefer it to loads of kids (dont hate me for saying that!), but we didnt find Pop noisy at all.

Personally I would look at Pop for a value - the resort doesnt share buses and has only one bus stop, unlike the allstars which often share buses. :thumbsup2
