Am making myself crazy!!!

Arriving Dec. 7 and departing Dec 11th. We currently have 3 day basic park tix. I am taking my children down with 2 of their friends (all in their mid 20’s, we are 5 in total) some of us have eaten at BOG in the past but my daughter and her friend have not and they are dying to eat there……………my dilemma...........

Which of the following options would you choose, feel free to suggest a better option if you have one!

1. spend the day at MK and have a meal at BOG (breakfast or lunch) the same day we have tickets for MVMCP.
Downside we would we wasting 2 ticket entries in one day

2. buy a hopper and spend a morning at MK, have a meal at BOG and hop to another park.
Downside: $60 x 3 = $180 (I am paying for myself and my children, the other 2 guests would pay for their own) THIS IS THE OPTION I AM LEANING TOWARD.

3.spend an entirely different day at MK (Not the same day as our MVMCP)
Downside: a group of young adults in their 20s may find one day at MK plus the MVMCP at MK overkill.

Any other options I may not have thought of.

Greatly appreciate all input!!!

I'd do option 2 but start at another park and hop to MK in the afternoon. Do a BoG dinner and watch the new Happily Ever After fireworks.

I have not been to BoG but I've only heard negative things about their breakfast. I think your daughter and her friend would enjoy dinner there a lot more

Yes, this. I've done BoG for dinner more than once and have heard that breakfast and lunch seem like a cafeteria by comparison.

Are hoppers only $60 on a 3 day ticket?

I have 5 days and it looks like it cost $75 for the hopping. I think that's a crazy amount of money to spend mainly to eat at BOG.

I think I'd tell DD to save BOG for the next trip.

You could make a reservation for 4:30 on your party day since you can arrive at 4 with just your party ticket. You would lose about and hour of pre-party time though. Assuming the time is available of course!

If I had your constraints and wanted to go to BOG, this is also what I would do. However, I don't care for the food at BOG.

As others have said, try to get a dinner around 4:30 or 5 on your MVMCP day.

Although, with only 3 days at the parks, you may want to consider the park hopper to maximize times. With the new Express Transportation, it can make park hopping a game changer for touring the parks, and you could pretty much do four parks in one day pretty easily.

I agree with the others. Try to get a 4:15/4:30 pm reservation on your party day if possible and, perhaps, only order an entree (no apps, no desserts). That will make the meal faster and you'll get to see the inside of the restaurant and the Beast. You will lose about an hour of park time, but if you are planning on staying until the end of the party, you should be fine in terms of touring. Plus, the park gets quite crowded between 4 - 7 pm as party guests start mingling with day guests. I would not spend the extra money on park tickets (extra day or hoppers) just to go to BOG.

Other option - if you can't get a reservation for 5, try to get one for 2 on your party night so your daughter and friend can eat there. Again, they could just order an app, entree or even just a dessert so they can go inside and see the restaurant and get out quickly.

Arriving Dec. 7 and departing Dec 11th. We currently have 3 day basic park tix.

Are you planning a park for either your arrival or departure day? Are you getting in early enough on the 7th to use that night as your party night? I probably wouldn't buy tickets for an arrival night until I got there, but that could be an option 3. If you can't do a park or MVMCP on arrival/departure day, you only have 3 days to do it all anyway. With that I'd definitely do my MK day on the same day of the party. The daytime hours will be less crowded than that Saturday with no party and you'll get most of the park done and be able to enjoy all the party extras that night. That gives you more hours to try to get that BoG ADR as well.

I would go option 3. You've already paid for the 3 days tix and the MVMCP so why not do a day and a half at MK. Maybe the adults go back on what they enjoyed and enjoy the party itself instead of being rushed around.

I would definitely rule out 3. I agree that spending 1 1/2 days at MK on a 3 day trip is too much, especially for the age group you have.

I prefer option 2 over option 1, but agree that ending at MK unless there is another nighttime show elsewhere you're really keen on seeing. It would be worthwhile to see which park is opened the latest that day and close out there so you get the most bang for your buck.

As for other options, I would personally skip BOG. I've eaten 2 dinners there and 1 breakfast and I'm in no hurry to return, so unless it's an absolute must do for you, I would skip it entirely.

I wouldn't spend $180 just to be able to spend more money to eat at BOG. Its really nice theming but the food isn't worth that kind of money.
Did you ask the other people what they would want to do?
What other parks are you planning on going to during your trip?

Dinner at BOG can cost as much as the hopper. What about apps and dessert between 4 and 7? That gets you in the door on party day perhaps for less money. I would not buy a hopper for the express purpose of eating at BOG. But I don't think two days at MK is too much, either.

Have fun!

i would talk to the 20 find out what they want to do if you think one park is just half a day go thier before the mvmcp

we will definitely get in early enough, at first I wanted to stay away from party night on day of arrival, I live in NYC and if by chance my flight got delayed or cancelled due to snow, i would be out of luck...........but thinking it over a bit more, i think party night on arrival night makes good sense.

Would I be able to wait until I actually arrive to get tix for Dec 7 or am I taking a gamble; what if they sell out for that night? I can still go on Sunday, Dec 10 but then my ADRs and FP will probably get screwed up. When did going to Disney become so complicated?:rolleyes1

Haven't asked the others yet, they are pretty much leaving the plans up to me. I know DD will be upset if she misses BOG. I agree the food is nothing to write home about, but the rooms are really worth touring, especially if you're a Beauty and the beast fan like she is. I plan on calling a "Disney meeting" but with everyone's schedule it just isn't working out so far.

I like the idea of trying to get 4/4:15 pm ADR on day of the party. If I can't get for all of us, will just make one for DD and her friend.

One quick question, does the beast go around taking photos with you at dinner or no?

We are definitely going to AK and Epcot, not sure about HS. Hoping to go see some of the resorts' decorations as well.

You have all been so helpful!!!! Thanks so much!!!

It would be a gamble to wait, but not a huge one. I tried searching for historic sold out dates and this one was not one of them. Just depends on how flexible, spontaneous you can be. If you decide to go for the arrival night party, I don't think I'd try to do the BoG ADR for this night, but make it for your other MK day. If you don't do the arrival night party, I will tell you those 4-6 ADRs go VERY fast. You need to be up and at it on your first booking day. If you can't get the 4-6 pm slot, and there's not a breakfast or lunch either, then try for one a little later and they can just go in and get dessert and see the inside. It will take up some party time, but it fulfills her wish. Breakfast isn't the best value, but again, they can just go in and get cupcakes and walk around.

Beast walks through and waves at everyone during dinner, then sets up in a room for a meet and greet. This is ONLY at dinner.
