Which Nighttime Shows?

Our family of 4 will be travelling to WDW next August. We'll have 6 park days. We are Disneyland regulars and only I have been to WDW before. My DDs will be 9 and 6 that are not night owls. In general we will not be going commando style and my DH tends to want to call it a day early. We once took his parents to Disneyland over Christmas - paying hundreds of dollars out of pocket, and he was ready to leave at 2:00!

With those things in mind - which nighttime shows should we make priority? Say we will only have two later nights in the parks.

Happily ever after and Star Wars hands down.. Especially if there is Star wars fans in your group. Both are the top shows imo.

And depending on the timing you might be able to see Star wars and Fantasmic in the same night

I agree with CAS238, but if Star Wars isn't your thing, then HEA and Illuminations.

Don't forget you'll have the time difference in your favor. A 9:00 HEA will feel like 6:00 p.m. to you all. That doesn't help much with DH's 2:00 cut off, but if you stay onsite, let him go "home" and you and the girls stay and play!!
