I am currently watching CNN and they usually don't report much without confirmation. Some newscasters report things as "rumors" too quickly and then have to retract them.

I remember all of the Vietnam newscasts that reported facts, after it was all done. We are in a new era of ratings, instant info, and rumors. I would prefer to hear of things after confirmation, not during the process. Just my personal preference.

Who do you trust? Why?

I've been going back and forth between CNN, FoxNexs channel, and MSNBC. Last night, it seemed MSNBC had things ahead of CNN even, but all three are pretty close, just a slightly different viewpoint.

Iusually go back and forth between CNN, MSNBC, anf FoxNews. This morning, Fox News mentioned oil things on fire first. I have CNN on now.

cnn is way ahead of msnbc or fox in terms of reliability imho. during 9/11 msnbc and fox especially were driving me crazy b/c they kept reporting things that just weren't true and they obviously hadn't been working too hard on confirming info.

I've got all three and ABC too.

I forgot to add that I haven't had cable long enough to know who is more accurate.

I prefer CNN. I find that their info is usually very reliable, and I also like that they don't editorialize too much (IMO), just report the facts and let us make our own judgments.

I have to agree with caitycaity.. I remember the unreliable/unconfirmed information on Foxnews and MSNBC. Those two networks have a tabloid feel.

I was just on CNN website, which stated that it was CNN's policy to NOT publish information which puts national security at risk.

Good for them!

I watch CNN, Fox News and MSNBC but I prefer CNN most of the time for all of the reasons mentioned.

I don't have cable:( so I am stuck with the networks. I used to like ABC but Peter Jennings has really gotten on my nerves lately.

I have been switching and right now have it on NBC.

I like Cnn, but I switch between MSNBC, FOX 7 ABC too.

I would hope they all would not report things that jeopordize national security, but you most do.

I am hooked on MSNBC. I don't know about hard core reliability of info, just that I find that station the most enjoyable to watch. During times when you have the news on constantly, I have to find a newsperson I like watching, and I like Brian Williams. I am wondering when he will take a break, he has been on for more than 15 hours I think. I also occasionally flip to about a billion other channels...CNN, CNNFN, WNI, CNBC, CNBW, FOX NEWS....

Fox News I love Bill O'Reilly , then when I fell I need to change I go to MSN NBC.

MSNBC,CNN,FoxNews,ABC news,CBS news,NBC news,NPR and various news channels(ok,I'm a journalism major and using this as research)

none of them??? I find so much that is reported is flawed in ALL kinds of reporting. Sometimes I see a report on an interview I witnessed, and I wonder if the person reporting was actually there!

I like Fox News almost exclusively. I like their on-air staff and reporters best - and yes, I like Bill O'Reilly - he tells it like it is.
