If you could add one country, or even a few countries to the World Showcase, which one would it be and why?

.................Hail, Hail, Fredonia!

Isreal!

I swear when I was a kid (& Epcot was still being built up) we saw signs for this in the park that said it was coming, but it never ended up being built. :guilty:

I think that Isreal would have made a wonderful edition to the World Showcase-the decor would have been beautiful, great music, entertainment, food would have been fantastic!

and what about a Dead Sea mineral spa for a relaxing break while in the park?? :cloud9:

Poland.

My grandma left Poland in the 1940s and never went back. I think it would be kind of cool to take her to see a part of her homeland :)

Swaziland / Mozambique / Zambia - or any other Southern African Nation. Can't you seen a miniature Victoria Falls on the edge of the lagoon???

We were lucky to live in Mozambique for 5 1/2 years and travelled to these other nations several times - their craft, bright colourful artwork, and ingenious uses for what we'd call 'rubbish' (e.g. floor mats knitted from plastic shopping bags) would certainly offer something different to the Epcot experience. Given Africa has a prominent presence in AK I don't think it'll happen though.

So second vote would go to my 'home country' - Australia - but PLEASE not inside a miniature Uluru (Ayers Rock). I dare say there'd have to be a mini Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, but it'd be nice if the natural beauty of the country - the deserts, the rainforests, the mountains, the reef, and our indigenous culture was showcased too. As long as they don't serve Fosters beer - no self respecting Aussie drinks that stuff!!!

I would love to see Switcherland. And then Disney can build an updated, cool version of the Disneyland Matterhorn rollercoaster!

I think a coaster in World Showcase will bring far more crowds into that area of Epcot and really make the area a "must see". Currently, I bet many of the thrill-seeking crowd only stay in Future World riding TT/MS/or Soarin. Oh well - I know a coaster in World Showcase will never happen - but I can dream!

Don't take this the wrong way, but it is Switzerland. The Swiss tend to be precise about such things.

Well I am of the thrill seeking variety also but WS is my favorite area, and EPCOT my favorite park...

I do agree that it needs a headliner thrill ride but doesn't EE seem like an updated version of the Matterhorn, IMO.

Australia is where my vote goes. But if I could pick two, the other would either be Brazil or South Africa...

I guess I'm just looking for a little more variety, as much as I love Europe- I've seen enough European WS countries. I would like something different.

Brazil might be cool. South America isn't represented yet. They could do carnival. Perhaps a 3D movie or (dare I say it) a ride?

I vote again for Australia.
I also vote for Russia.
I know that the Outpost is supposed to have an African theme, but why not "Plus It?" I think Africa could have a cool ride like Pirates, indoor water ride. You could travel in different parts of the country through the different rooms like SE. One room could be a dessert theme, one could be a rainforest (with a hidden Tarzan or George), another could take you through the culture of Egypt, while another could take you through Kenya. There are many. But since AK has Africa, I don't see them spending much money here, but it would be nice to focus on more than the small spectrum of AK
And I would say a small exhibit on Antartica and the studies of the men and women that go there and their purposes.
