Which MYW tickets to get and from where????

Any advice is appreciated here.

I'm a first timer, so please bear with me.
Our family and another are going to WDW next May and I'm not sure which tickets to get. 2 boys at nearly 3 years old and a 16 month old. Should we bother with the Water Park?? Is it worth it for them and is it warm enough in May for it?? Should I get base tickets and do an upgrade to hopper when we get there, is it cheaper?? We will be in Orlando, off site, for 9 days, but 2 will be travel days and we're thinking of doing a beach day and maybe a Universal day.. if we decide against those, can we add days to our Disney passes???

I'm thinking of getting a 5 day park hopper with water park.. but I'm just not sure as I don't know what to expect!! Does anyone know of a great/cheap and reliable site to buy tickets or just wait until we get there???

I'd skip the water parks. Your little kids will be happy at the pool, and you can save the money. Personally, I think hoppers are great. You can go to one park in the morning, rest in the afternoon, and go to a different park for dinner. If you are staying on site, I would definitely get hoppers (although it doesn't look like you are).

Check mousesavers.com. I think that they mention a few reliable sites at which to buy tickets ahead at a discount.

Will you have a pool where you are staying? If yes, then definitely skip the waterparks. If I'm reading your post correctly, you'll have 3 littles ones under age 3? Definitely not worth the extra money (and stress) My son was 3.5 on our last trip and the slide at the AKL pool was just perfectly fine for him. I don't know when we would have fit it in the schedule anyway!

I'd also skip Universal for now and spend the extra $$ on hoppers. We went to Universal during our trip in October, and aside from a few rides in Dr. Seuss Land and the Barney show, there is not much for little ones - it is definitely geared toward teens and adults.

As far as buying the actual tickets, Buying in advance does save some money, and 7 day tickets are not much more than 5 days. Also, if your kids are not yet 3 they do not need a ticket. Only age 3+. I have used Undercover Tourist twice for tickets and they are a great to deal with. If you to the mousesavers web site and sign up for their monthly e-mail newsletter, there is a link that gives you a small additional discount.

I agree with the other posters, skip the water parks. We even had free water park admission included with our package last May and we didn't even go to them. There just isn't enough time unless you are staying for about 2 weeks! Especially with your kids being so young. We also had park hoppers and never used them either. We have found that we really just need the base tickets.

As far as May weather, we were there this past Mother's Day week. It was in the mid 80's drung the day and cooled down into the mid 70's in the evenings. Definatley good swimming weather! We had such good weather and short wait times that we are planning on going back this coming May!

I always get my tickets through Disney because I just book the whole package online. But you could go to the AllEars website and purchase tickets from MapleLeaf I think it's called. And like another poster said, getting 7 day tickets is not that much more than 5 day tickets because the daily price gets cheaper the more days you get.

I just ordered tickets from maple leaf tickets. They are having a special right now, pay for 4 days get the 5th day free. Their prices were the best I could find, and I did a lot of research. They were mailed to me for 3.00 I think or you could pick them. I would order from them again.

Thanks so much for the advice ! I think we will forget the water parks, as we do have a pool at the house we're renting !! Works for me!
And Maple Leaf tickets... got it.. I'm going shopping now !
