Hi all. I used to be a member a while back but not been away for 2 years but we are getting married 2018 and of course our honeymoon is florida. We havent booked our wedding yet as we are looking at our honeymoon first (priority of course) but we do want a winter wedding. My question is who has been winter months jan/feb/ march and which wouldnu recommend?
We are swinging towards march as know it will be a little warmer. And we both love a little chill time by the pool. So many questions but will start with this first. Lota if names I recognise on here still xx

I usually go in the winter months (In fact I'm going in Late Jan next year).

It really depends on what you are looking for. Jan can go from balmy to frost on the car in the morning but as it goes closer to march it gets busier. Personally I prefer quiet so Jan or Feb is the best for me, especially given the pools are all heated so swimming in Jan is fine. :)

March is busier as Spring break is starting to kick in. I do prefer this however as January and February can be cold especially in the early morning. Easter Sunday 2018 falls on April 1st so I'd expect the last week in March to get very busy too.

I'd go with late February. Winter here is generally cold in the mornings and evenings, but pleasant during the day when the sun is out. For pool time I don't think January or February are going to be great, unless you have lots of resistance to cold weather. However they are going to be quieter than March when most of the schools and colleges are out for a break. The dates vary by county and across the country, but usually from around the second week in March through to the end is busier. January and February will be mostly quiet in the parks and resorts. Just check for dates for the Marathon weekend (usually the first weekend after New Year), Presidents Day in February and the Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend just after mid February.

Went in feb once, lovely and quite.

Weather was just ok. A lot of jeans and coat days. Some lovely weather too but when it was warm had to make the most of it for pool time!

We had a great time and weather didn't detract from that but obviously warm all the time would have been preferable.

I'm not sure if this is standard weather or not

One thing I'll say about the winter months and the temp is that it depends on where you are from.

I've got friends in Orlando and they are always bundled up in jumpers, thick coats, etc. when we visit in Dec\Jan\Feb but my partner and I are in T-s because to us it's still pretty balmy (most days were in the low 70s to low 80s which I imagine a floridian thinks is frigid but 70s or higher is downright warm for here in the UK).

So it all depends of your personal circumstances I guess.
