I didnt know where to post this so if you want to put it somewhere else then please do so.

Just out of curiousity which month is the best time to go to the World?

We are thinking of going around Labor Day or Around Thanksgiving. As far as weather & crowds are concerned when is the best Month to go?

Anytime when the kids are in school is best to go lol. But, I think the first couple of months of the year (January, Febuary) are the overall best months as far as the least amount of crowds.

Since the only time we have ever gone is during Spring Break because of our kids school schedule I can only speculate on what I have read. The best time from what I have seen is right after Thanksgiving up until about a week before Xmas. These are supposed to be some of the slower times in the World.

Personally if I could take the kids out of school I would shoot for early December or early Feb.

We started out in 1977, 40 trips ago, on doing the middle of June, our children were finished with school and Disney started their summer hours, staying open till midnight. Now that our children are grown and married, we pick the fall months. October, November after Thanksgiving till 2 weeks into December. We done our first trip ever in January this year too but the weather can be too iffy and returning home to snow is a real bummer. We have done quite a few after the first week in September and enjoy them probably the second most. Crowds have been low, we do enjoy the Florida sun but not the July humidity. October being about the best, you get alittle less heat, slack crowds and if planned right the Christmas decorations, which is an added bonus to a trip. Over all best, October thru November, weathers great, swimming is a go, decorations are up and crowds are minimal. But with the free dining and other offers Disney plans to shore up the slack times, it's getting really hard to pick a good time but any time you can go to WDW is great.

We love Dec for the decorations and to get into the Holiday season. Our second fav. time is the second week of Sept. The kids are just starting school so the lines aren't bad at all

We've decided that Sept./Oct. is the best time. Our last trip was Oct. 7 and was just about perfect though we felt that we would have liked it a tick warmer for swimming. They say that you are taking a chance with hurricane season through the end of October but obviously we have decided that it is worth rolling the dice 'cuz we are going last week of Sept. this year. :upsidedow  :upsidedow

I agree with the PP. December was my favorite... the decorations were beautiful.

I dont think I described it right.

I should have said that we have an Annual Pass that is going to expire on Dec 5th & we would like to go before then. The only time we can go is around Labor Day or around Thanksgiving & we were wondering which of those you would prefer. Like if you would go if it was rainy & hot month or a nice and semi crowded month?

I have been there the week before Christmas and this past April when kids were still doing their Spring breaks so the crowds around Thanksgiving shouldnt be that bad or are they?

We have been going every September since 2000. They crowds are low, but it's still hot.

Last year we also went Thanksgiving week(at the Poly). We had never been in Florida without humidity. It felt like heaven, upper 70's to low 80's during the day, perfect for shorts and t-shirts. The low's at night never went under 59. The crowds were heavy though, the worst day being the Friday after Thanksgiving. We didn't mind though.
