Our last trip to disney was last year, which was the first in 15 years. It was also my husband and daughters first trip ever.

We went March 1-15, which was pretty nice.

I was wondering what times other people found they preferred? We would like to stay for 2 weeks again with few crowds, if possible. I also didn't know if I could pull my daughter out of school for 2 weeks or if I should wait until July/August to go?

Which month do you prefer for nice (not too hot weather) and reasonable crowds?

Right now is a very nice time - we were married there four years ago (today as a matter of fact) and the crowds were very manageable. Weather was beautiful - heat hasn't quite hit yet. But I would have to say that my favorite time to go is late September/early October - virtually no crowds, kids are back in school, the heat is not horribly bad, and it's just an overall great time to go...

We've been in early December which was great (1st 2 weeks), just went in January and that was nice..weather was 50's to high 70's and the Christmas decor was still up in places.

Also last week of Aug/1st weeks of Sept was great. We walked onto Splash Mt. We leave on Labor Day Sun and have an extra day off at work monday to recoup.

I think our next trip we are trying October.

that is GREAT to hear :)

we are taking our fist trip Sept 25th to Oct 2nd :)

I agree about Sept. No crowds, walk on most rides and the weather is wonderful at that time of year. :)

Our favorite time to visit is November (early-mid). We also like early December, late February, and early May.

I imagine Feb could be a bit chilly but we always manage to go when it is in the 70s and gorgeous. Once we went in the end of Sept and it was so hot and humid we were miserable- the moment we stepped out of our hotel our glasses and camcorder fogged over! While Sept can be great, we prefer to wait for cooler weather.

The plus side to going in the summer is the long hours. You can take a break at your resort and miss the crowds a high temps without concern that youre missing out because you can go back and stay late.

I have been December, January, March and July. My favorite is January. Temps were cool but never cold and there were NO crowds. Also like the Christmas activities of early December. March weather is nice but more crowds. I did NOT like July. So hot and the crowds are a killer. The school is a whole other topic. We took DS out 1 week though 5th grade but do not plan to do this after this year. We thought 2 weeks were a little much but might be ok for a very young child.

My vote is October. The weather is perfect so you don't feel like you'll faint :faint: from all the heat. Plus the crowds are light. The downside is the park hours are reduced. But it is still warm enough to swim :cheer2:. Sure wish we could still go in October but my daughter :earsgirl: is in school now. Now we will have to go when it is too crowded :crowded: and HOT :sunny: :sunny:. Oh well, beats not going at all!

Been there the 2nd wk of Sept as well as the last wk of Sept. Both times crowds were minimal. Heat and humidity was just bearable for us. Only downfall for us was MK closed early. Have been to Disney in last wk in April and first wk in May and just loved it. Heat was bearable and very little humidity. Lines were very managable and parks remained open later. Our next trip will be in Dec 04 2nd wk. Can't wait. Never been there in Dec. I am sure you'll have a great time no matter when you decide to go!!
