We will be visiting the resorts on the monorail to view the holiday decor/displays so I was wondering which resort would you recommend to have good QS lunch (don't want to do TS)?:santa: Thanks

I would highly recommend the Contempo Cafe which is located at the Contemporary and in my opinion they have the most upscail menu of the Quick Service locations at the Monorail Resorts.

Contempo Cafe has far and above the best selection of any monorail cs.

I do enjoy Captain Cooks, however Contempo is in my opinion much better. I also really like Gasparilla Grill (lobster mac and cheese and club sandwich are always excellent) but the lack of indoor seating bugs me. If its a nice day that one is a good bet since you could sit outside and the Grand Floridian has the prettiest holiday decor.

I would also make sure you get over to WL and see their decorations, its not on the monorail but its a quick boat ride over from the Contemporary or MK to see them. Roaring Forks is also decent cs.

I'd also vote for Captain Cook's at the Poly. I should add that we rarely eat at CS anymore, but Captain Cook's is the exception. Not as much for the atmosphere, but the menu variety, food quality and friendly CMs. It's our favorite resort CS in all of WDW.

I really like both Contempo Cafe and Captain Cook's. I think I'd give the slight edge to Contempo because they have some really intresting looking dessert options (thinking of the specialty cupcakes specifically!). The only one out of the three that we really didn't like was Gasparilla's at the GF.

Our favorite is Captain Cooks at the Poly. We've never eaten at Contempo Cafe at the CR and we didn't care for Gasparilla's at the GF, but we love Captain Cooks :goodvibes.

Another vote for Contempo Cafe. We liked it so much that we had 3 meals there last month. And our meal at Capt. Cooks was just so-so. In fact, we are probably going to skip Capt. C's next trip.

Garparilla Grill and Games at GF is okay as well. Though hard to find.

Contempo Cafe is located right in the middle of the Contempo and you can watch the monorail go by as you eat.

You can read my review by clicking on my siggy below. I'ver reviewed our first meal at Contemp so far. Capt. Cook''s review is on it's way.

I will say that the Contempo's dessert options are just okay. Their soft-serve sundae is pretty lame. Nothing like the ones you can get at POP. For dessert at Contempo you have your basic choices-same as Capt. Cooks except for the Dole Whip. ;)

Our dinners at Contempo were very good. Our breakfast was just okay.

Here are a few photos from our first dinner at Contempo. Enjoy!

We decided to hop on a boat and try Captain Cook's. Want to try the "grown up" grilled cheese and sushi.

My favorite is Captain Cookes as you can get sushi there and dole whips.

Decisions, decisions wow..the food from the Contemporary Cafe sure does look yummy but we also love Dole Whips and I think it may be too cold in at MVMCP to get Dole Whips. I guess no need to choose though we can have lunch at the CR and dessert at the Poly lol!!:thumbsup2

I, too, would suggest you consider the boat ride to WL. It''s so beautiful during the holidays and I remember liking the QS menu.

Have fun.

:)
