We've stayed at AS Sports and the Swan and the Dolphin but never at a moderate...we have ressies have for AS Music but may go for a moderate.....My question.....

Which one and why??????
Thanks for all the input ahead of time!

I really like the Caribbean Beach Resort because of the theme and layout of the resort. The grounds are beautiful and each island has it's own beach area and pool. You can relax on the hammocks on the beaches and rent boats or bikes. The rooms are a good size, bright and clean and the service has always been friendly. There is an arcade and a good sized food court. I also like the Banana Cabana, the poolside bar!

We're partial to the mansion section of POR (formally Dixie Landings). We visited all the resorts before choosing a moderate, and we've never looked back. The grounds are gorgeous and quiet, and there's an excellent food court. You really get the "deluxe" feeling for a moderate price.

We've stayed at POFQ (pre-merger w/Riverside), CBR and CSR (as well as CR, WL and ASSp).

First of all, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these. I don't think you can beat the combination of price and atmosphere.

My personal preference is CSR. Pros--beautifully landscaped, great pool, Pepper Market (selection of food, real silverware and plates). Cons--can be a long way from El Centro (check-in, food court) (but bus stops at every section, and pool is close to Ranchos section, and quiet pools in each section), 10% added at Pepper Market (never bothered us, they'll take it off if you complain). Some complain about conventioneers, but we haven't really noticed them in three visits.

CBR--Pros: Recently renovated bright rooms, rooms larger than other moderates, nice stroll around lake and island. Cons--can be long distance to Port Royale (main pool and food court)(but quiet pool in each section), smallest main pool at moderates (relative to resort size). Haven't been since they renovated the food court and sit-down restaurant.

POFQ--Pros: Nice theming, great pool (particularly for kids), smallest moderate, boat to Downtown Disney. Cons: no sit-down restaurant (have to go to Riverside), small size makes it a little less immersive than CSR or CBR (but you can stroll over to and around Riverside)

I say Coronado Springs...beautiful resort, great for a nice walk around the lake, great slide in pool...best atmosphere of all moderates.

Both of the moderates we have stayed at, CSR and CBR are great! Beautiful grounds, great rooms, wonderful service and that WDW magic without paying an arm and a leg for a deluxe. :)

POR is our choice everything about it is wonderful. Very beautiful good food court a very fun pool with a slide. Housekeeping was the best. Asked for our room to be cleaned everyday by noon and it was. I have nothing bad to say about it.

We have stayed at CBR and CSR.

CSR all the way!!!!!!
The rooms in each section are different, as well as the theming in each section. We stayed in Cabanas, which is vey tropical (like CBR), with the palm tree-lined beaches with hammocks. The Ranchos are my favorite!!!! Haven't stayed there yet, but the theming is very unique!!! The Casitas have a more are elegant, with beautiful courtyards and fountains.

This whole resort is so colorful and bright! You can see the whole thing from anywhere around then lake (except a few builidngs in Ranchos). It definitely does not seem as spread out as CBR. Nice marina and bike rentals.

The pool area is amazing. A great slide!!!!! CBR's slide is much smaller. Nice pool bar with some food-hamburgers, chicken fingers, chicken tenders.

Pepper market- loved this best of any food court (including ASMo, ASSp, and AKL)! Very nice!!!

seems to me like all the mods are quite wonderful, they each have their own unique theming and benefits.

Port Orleans Riverside is so beautiful with exceptionallandscaping
POFQ is small, quaint
CBR has a beautiful tropical theme, plus the largest rooms of the mods (and newly redone!)
CSR has the most amenities out of the mods, and a wonderful theme as well<
what a tough choicE.

I think you should decide based on whatever theme you like best.

Have fun! :)

Laura :)

I'd vote for CSR in the cabana section. We stayed in building 9B and was close to the El Centro bus stop, food court and swimming pool. We loved the resort theme and decorations!
