I am contemplating bumping up to a moderate for our next stay. Which one would you choose?

We are in POP right now and really like only one bus stop. I have heard that some moderates have multiple bus stops....I am not sure if I would like that.

POFQ has only one bus stop. It is MUCH smaller than the other mods. We stayed there in February and absolutely loved it. It is a very pretty resort and everything is so close: the bus stop, pool, boat, food court, arcade, and gift shop were about a 2 minute walk for us. The boat to DTD is a fantastic option! All of the mods seem to have great theming but if you're looking for something a little (a LOT) smaller then POFQ is the one for you! Good luck!

You will get all kinds of answers to this one. The moderates are very popular and everyone has their favorite.

All the moderates have several bus stops. POFQ has it's own stop but it shares buses with POR, which makes for several stops. The stops aren't really that big of a deal. It's just because the mods are so spread out that if they each only had one stop it would be a long walk from some of the rooms. With several stops you are never far from one when you need one! :thumbsup2

We have stayed at 3 of the moderates. CBR is our favorite. :goodvibes We had the best experience there. And now they are currently rehabbing all of the rooms and have recently opened a fabulous new huge zero entry pool with 2 slides that looks like it belongs at a deluxe resort. They also added a children's pirate pool! We can't wait to go back! Other things we enjoy about CBR are the beautiful grounds, white sand beaches, hammocks by the lake, Caribbean music playing quietly everywhere, a relaxing tropical feel, a beautiful bridge and island, great and huge food court, friendly CM's, double sinks in the bathroom with LOTS of storage space underneath, and the LARGEST rooms of all the moderates! It’s like a vacation within a vacation, a “leave your worries at the door” kind of place! :cloud9:

We've been at all the value resorts and feel the number of stops the bus makes is not a concern. If the only reason you don't use All-Star is the bus stops then you're missing out on some great resorts. At peak times they get their own bus.

Try All-Star Sports, they are the first stop for park buses. We were at music last Aug and had no problems getting a seat.

Pop Century is more centrally located and the resort itself is much bigger than the All-stars. It may only be one stop but there seems to be more people trying to go there.

If it matters all rooms at CSR will have at least queen size beds. I am not sure but the others have double size beds or pay extra for a king size. At least that's what POFQ has.

We've stayed at CSR and POFQ and liked both. We've returned to POFQ because we felt CSR was too spread out. We like to buy the mugs and get drinks at the foodcourt and by the time we'd get the drink and walk back to our Cabana area room...the drink was almost gone. The pool was awesome with the pyramid pool slide. The food court was nice, but different. My picky DW didn't care for it because she didn't like the selection.

POFQ is the smallest resort. It only has one bus stop, but does share a bus with POR (4 stops) and this can be annoying, but rarely is a big deal. And during peak times, it's not a big deal as they both have their own. POFQ is also a very quiet resort. It's got a great feel that makes you feel as though you're in New Orleans. What we like compared to the All Star resorts is the food court is rarely busy or messy like our experience there. The food selections change daily with some cajun cuisine, but also offering american staples (pizza, burgers, hot dogs, chicken strips, etc).

We also like the boat ride to DTD. It's about 15-20 minutes and very peaceful to enjoy the ride and views.

I'd vote for POFQ. We've stayed there twice and would stay again. The pool is very entertaining and wasn't busy at all in mid June when we went. Plus...you're the first stop for buses before rolling over to POR.

CSR!! Great main pool area, awesome transportation, and terrific food options. Check out my CSR website (by clicking on my name above) for pics and info. CSR now has queen beds in all the rooms and will have club level rooms as of 01/2009!!
