Dh and I have been going to Disney with our respective families since we were kids. We've been to all the deluxe resorts and value resorts. For some reason, we've never stayed or even visited any of the moderate resorts. For our upcoming September trip, we'd like to try to stay in one of the moderates.

Which one do you suggest? We are two adults only. Also, do you think there will be AP discounts for that time? We definitely want to buy AP's.

Thanks all!

We usually stay at POFQ. It's our favorite WDW resort. Too soon to tell about discounts but there should be something.

CBR! The tropical theme is wonderful. It makes you feel like you get a vacatin at Disney and the Caribbean.

Riverside is our favorite moderate. We have stayed at ALL of them. To us , and others, the resort is on the brink of a deluxe in the moderate price range.

the grounds are wonderful, you can choose what section you would like to stay in, Mansions or Bayou. The food court is above average bordering on good, Boatrights is a VERY good sit down resturant, there is live entertainment in the River Roost (which is a MUST see) , you will enjoy the boat to DTD,
I could go on and on.

CBR is a VERY close second. It has sentimental value because thats where we stayed for our honeymoon 10 1/2 years ago. That was my first trip to WDW and they always say you never forget your first time.

There should be AP rates out for your time frame. Thats all we are waiting for to book our annual August trip. Usually its about $89-$94 per night room only.

Wherever you choose....HAVE FUN !!!!!!:bounce:

I loved it when I stayed there and it has become my favorite resort and for me the best value on WDW property. I love thier grounds(azalea bushes and flowers everywhere) and the mansion rooms which remind me of the GF rooms but in a simpler way. You will LOVE this resort it is the closest you can get to a deluxe.

:D

I've stayed at the Coronado Springs and the Caribbean Beach Resort and I like the Coronado better. I loved the CBR, but the CSR has more variety in the theming and the main pool is better. Either one is great to stay at, so I don't think you can go wrong with either of them. I'm sure the POFQ is great, too. I hope to stay there myself someday.

We like CBR. We enjoy the relaxed tropical feel. It's just what we need at the end of a long Wisconsin winter.

The rooms are a good size with plenty of storage. The grounds are beautiful. It's nice that each area has its own private pool.

Have a great trip!

AHH!!!
After a wild evening at the DDT Area , a calm cruise up the canal to the French Quarter with my love in hand under the moon lite sound fine to me.
ENJOY!

We enjoy the CBR. The island atmosphere is very relaxing and the landscaping is very pretty. There's Old Port Royale, Banana Cabana, pretty walking paths, pools, beaches and hammocks to relax on by the water.

Enjoy your vacation!

CHAMPION LOGO!
My cap has that logo and the letters "N E"!
NEVER EASY!
GO PATS!

I'll have to cast my vote for Port Orleans French Quarter as well...

My wife and I spent our Honeymoon there and loved it. It seemed more cozy to us than other resorts.

'Course I suppose that could have been because we were newly married.

We'll definately stay there again though.

My husband and I love CBR - we just love the whole feel of the place. The rooms, the pools, the rooms, the food court, everything about it - we love it so much that we were booking 6 nights this time around and we added one more night, one more night until we decided to stay TEN NIGHTS!!!! We cannot wait - we have checked out the other moderates on our stays and although they are all beautiful, CBR has this tropical feel that makes you feel like you are on the islands - good luck in deciding!!

We have stayed at all the Moderates and CBR is our favorite with CS close behind. I love the atmosphere, the food court and the pool at CBR. CS also has a great pool and I love the set-up for their food court. Good Luck with your decision.
