We are going to WDW next year, we have stopped at All-Stars and Pop the last few time but are going for a Moderate resort this time.
Which would you stop at?

Coronado Springs
Caribbean Beach
Port Orleans

A lot depends on your traveling party and preferences. Pools are a big part with my DD8. Pool safety and my inability to let her get out of my sight are big in my book. I like CSR for the mods. The pool is easy to watch over. The Jaguar slide entrance can easily be seen while you are waiting at the bottom for your little one to come down. There is also a play area next to the pool.

POFQ has a neat slide with a dragon and all but I can't watch the whole pool at one time nor can I see the slide entry area from the bottom.

The party is 4 adults and 5 children, I say children they will be between 17 & 23 when we go.:rotfl2:

Port orleans french quarter, we preferred thatto coronado springs

LOVE POFQ!! Its so small and quiet, a big change from the values. The only downside is the foodcourt is very small, and doesn't have the selection of the others. But it depends on what you are looking for. Still my fav- but now we have 5 people so we will be heading to Riverside next year.

i also like riverside a lot....very pretty landscaping...good food court...
nice pool.....bicycle rentals....
but you can end up very far away from the main building..

I am a devoted POFQ fan for many reasons. POR is great too if you want the option of a few pools to choose from and a slightly bigger foodcourt. You are free to use the POR facilities if you stay at POFQ, including the pools, as long as you don't mind the walk (which in your case, would be my only consideration).

I do love the theming of CSR, probably more than POFQ, but the size put me off a bit.

Thanks for all the replys, they will help with our August planning meeting.:goodvibes

:lmao: Make sure you have someone to minute the meeting - so there is no going back on who said what later on. How exciting. Enjoy your planning and let us know what you decide :goodvibes

We have stayed at POR after doing some deluxes & loved it. The grounds are beautiful & they have a great food court which is important to my teenagers. They didn't like the quick service at GF although they love the hotel. We are trying to do different resorts but the only mod that we have tried are CBR & POR so far. I would like to try OKW & POFQ so time

Another vote for POFQ!

Having stayed at All stars, POFQ, POR and OKW POFQ is still my favourite.

The small size of the resort is FANTASTIC, you are never more than a 5min walk away from the food court, pool, boat landing, bus stop or parking lot.

The food court is small, but it is never very busy (You must try the beignets :)) and serves a good selection.

It's also nice on a night if you fancy a change to take the short walk along the river (around 20 mins or so) to POR to try their food court. The make your own pasta is delicious.

Also don't miss a trip on the riverboat to DTD

Take a look at this website for a feel of the resort:

another vote for POFQ, but bare in mind that you`ll get QSDP at POFQ, and with the present discounts you could move up a resort level to OKW or SSR and get full DDP for litlle or no more money, to upgrade to full DDP at POFQ would cost in the region of £10 or so a day per person which on our holiday cost us £210 per person =£840 ouch, and thats because the deal for OKW wasn`t there at the time we booked last year:thumbsup2

POR is a very nice resort, lovely landscaping and goof food court. You can take horse carriage rides and also get the boat to DTD. Have stayed at a number of the delux resorts and would not be disappointed to go back to POR

The boat trip is so lovely and relaxing and we found the boats far more frequent and reliable than the DTD buses :)

Welcome back Rob. :goodvibes Haven't seen you for a while

I pop in every now and then but no where near as often as I should; probably not doing another trip until 2013 which is very depressing (got to buy a new car next year :sad1:)
