which Moderate Resort would you recommend my family stay at while we visit Walt Disney World...I will be traveling w/ my husband, DD-6, DS-3 & my parents. Thanks!

I would recommend PO French Quarter. It is much smaller in size than the other resorts. Therefore, you will not be far from the main building, dining, bus, boat and pool. It has a great themed pool with slide for your aged kids. It has wonderful French Quarter theme throughout the resort for the adults. You also can go over to the PO Riverside by walkway or boat and use the pool, resteraunts, etc. over there. There is a wonderful boat ride to Downtown Disney from both resorts.

I agree. This is our favorite Moderate.

I have to say CSR, our favorite moderate!!! We first stayed at CSR when our DS12 was 3 and he loved it. He still requests CSR whenever we ask where he wants to stay. We stayed in 9B and it was very convenient to El Centro (food areas, shop, gameroom) and to the pool. The pool is great with a wonderful slide. The whole resort is beautiful and the landscaping ,too!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

THE PROS
No sharing bus service with other resorts
Centrally located with short rides to the parks
Largest hot tub on WDW property
Awesome main pool area with bar, snack bar, playground and kiddie pool
3 quiet pools
New shuttle service eliminates long walks to any of the villages
High speed internet service
WiFi available too
Free use of the gym
Spa
Fridge in the room
Coffeemaker in the room
Iron and ironing board
full room service menu
2 arcades
beautifully landscaped
central air, not a noisey wall unit

THE CONS
Full size beds (kings size beds are available)
one sink

IN THE MIDDLE
The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.

My favorite is the CBR. You can do the preferred Martinique or Trinidad North to be near the OPR food court. Jamica and Aruba are across the bridge and a short walk to the food court and main pool. There are beaches (no swimming) with hammocks to relax in.

My favorite is French Quarter too for all the reasons above poster stated plus the bignets! :cloud9:

Our favorite moderate is CSR! We love the theme and find the have the best busing, best food court and best pools! :) Good luck deciding-you cant go wrong with any of the resorts-you're at Disney! :wizard:

I would have to say POR without question! The rooms, be it Mansions or Bayou, are just lovely. The sit-down restaurant and the food court make it an absolute. You and your family will just LOVE this resort, I promise. My family was just saying how much we loved POR over Wilderness Lodge, which we paid 900 extra dollars to stay at!

Please know, you can enjoy and have no reservations about anyplace you may end up at at POR. Now if you prefer more "mansion like" accommodations, request the mansion section, otherwise, I just love the more rustic accommodatons of the Bayou section, either way, you will be happy, I swear!!!! If how far you are from the main building is a factor for you remeber to request: Bldg. 14 for the Bayou section or Parterre Place for the Mansion section to be close to the on-site restaurant, and main bar, general store (basically everything!!).

Best and enjoy,
Joyce

Here's another vote for POFQ, we stayed there in Sept with MIL, DH, DS, DS, myself and Dgd, we had 2 connecting rooms and it was absolutely wonderful. We had all ages in our group and noone was disappointed. Rode the boat to POR and to DTD had a great time at both. Buses were wonderful, First on etc. 1 bus stop at POFQ and small size made all rooms easy to get to anywhere in the resort. :sunny: Plus the rooms were just recently renovated and now have a fridge in each room.
