Which moderate resort is the best?

I have stayed at Port Orleans, was looking at Carib Beach, but now Coronado Springs looks neat. Has any one stayed at all of them. Are they much better than PopCentury? last resort is Wilderness Lodge but I think we may be just as happy at Coronado.

I've not stayed at all of them, but IMO anything is better than POP. POP is ok - very much a budget motel atmosphere. We've been to POP a couple of times and PO Riverside once - and hands down PO is better. We had ressies for PO R for this fall, but changed them when we finally made the move and joined DVC.

I have stayed @ POR and Coronado, toured POFQ and CBR...My favorite hands down is Coronado Springs and will keep going back there for all future trips. I feel I found a "home".
awesome bus system, great pools, beautiful scenery, IMO a REALLY great "quick service" food spot....I've always had a clean room and wonderful CM's when staying at CSR.

I'm a POFQ lover. It's small with beautiful landscaping. I'm not a fan of the desert. I'm staying at CSR this next trip to please DBF with his needs of a fitness center. I'd rather have a short walk to my room, the food court and pool. Well, I also like POFQ's bus at MK and the beignets and the secluded hot tub too.

I've stayed at all but Caribbean Beach. My fav is either Port Orleans French Quarter or Riverside. Great atmosphere. Can't beat the boat to Downtown Disney and the bus system was really good too. Coronado Springs was my least favorite because you had to walk so far to the main pool. Plus they had these golf carts they drove around that were just really really loud. But I think any of the moderates are much nicer than POP. I did like POP for a value but I value the more comfortable beds in a moderate or deluxe and the higher quality towels. PLUS...the moderates have a spa, values don't.

To me there is a great difference in the value resorts and the moderate resorts....the size of the room for one and the noise level for another. I think that the moderates being spread out keeps the noise level down...I have stayed at all of the moderates except POFQ. My favorite is CBR (love the Nassau feel) my least favorite CSR (too far away from the parks and I do not like the large groups they have there for events).

CSR!! Great pool, transportation, food and is centrally located with quick rides to all the parks.

Our 1st Stay was at CSR and then we stayed at POR.
What a difference, they are both unique in there own way.
Both resorts were nice but we really enjoyed POR atmosphere
because for us it was much more relaxing and more Disney feeling.
We found CSR was geared to the Business person with the
Convention aspect of it--you will see many people walking around
in Business attire (that put a dent in the Disney Feel).
We were able to visit POFQ for 1/2 a day and also really enjoy
the resort, so we are staying there on our upcoming trip.
We will eventually stay all of the MODs (we only have CBR left).
I sure you will pick the MOD that will fit your Families Style.

People who have a preference generally either like CSR--it has amenities the other moderates don't--or POFQ--it's smaller.

We had the same issue with CSR. A golf cart nearly ran DH off the path at night. We felt like we always needed to be on our toes making sure we wouldn't get run over while on the path to the main building. We also saw two little girls nearly get run over. Pretty scary.

If we do a moderate again, we'll probably go back to CBR. The grounds were beautiful. Very relaxing.

CSR is our favorite (we will be staying there for the 7th time this year...and my husband offered me the Polynesian and I turned him down). Although spread out and a "convention" hotel (as is the Contemporary and others), we have never had any issues with the conventioneers at the resort--in the pool, in the dining areas, during our moonlit walks. We love the pools (Dig Site and quiet pools), the spa, the landscaping, the food court and the store. We never use the bus transporation as we always have a car, but we have never seen lines at the bus stops when we have driven off property or when we are returning to the property and the bus is unloading. As for the walking distance of the resort, the golf carts are great if you want to take advantage of them (we don't mind walking and although they have always stopped and asked us if we want a ride, we have told them we would rather walk).

CSR!!!! I have stayed at all the moderates, and this is my fave. LOVE the theming, love the transportation, pool, and I LOVE the cabanas.

Coronado is our favorite! Our kids love the playground and pool.
