Which Moderate resort is closest to Epcot that you would go to?

Wow..thank you everyone! I know it is alot of personal taste..but I do read them all and take them into consideration. I think we are leaning towards POFQ...kids seemed to like that one.

THANK YOU!!!!!

I've stayed at the Caribbean Beach several times in the past and really liked it. I love the tropical theme of the resort.

I'm staying at POR and also there is a boat that will take you to DTD. This so far has been the only resort that i've stated in

This is my favorite moderate. I liked CBR but I love POFQ. It is a quaint compact resort with a pool that the kids enjoy. The boat to DTD and POR adds a level of convenience that cannot be beat!

Good Choice! You will be very very happy

CBR is the closest...so close you can even see Illuminations from the property (it's fun to sit in the pool and watch the fireworks)

Old Port Royale is also fun, and they have a great restaurant called Shutters there that is generally overlooked.

I've stayed there 28 days in the past 2 years, and loved it both time. I do think that you should request for Aruba or Jamaica though. I actually preferred Aruba to Jamaica, but I like being close to the bridge...and those two are so small/close that you pretty much can utilize the pool/bus stops/vending/washing machines at either one.

I'd stay away from Trinindad South and Barbados though. As well as parts of Martinique. Both years I made special room request (for placement), and both years they were met. So, when you reserve the hotel, I'd just put in that you'd like to be in one of those villages.

how about renting DVC points and staying at the Boardwalk? You can rationalize the difference in price by buying food for your room

Just a different thought..
and if I were to pick mod I would go with POFQ.. I think it is adorable and not huge like some of the other mods

It's not a bad idea, but for some (myself included) part of the experience is going out to eat; That, and it's a nice break to not prepare any meals while away from home. As for moderate resorts, I agree with you.
