We have always stayed at POR. WE love it. It is clean, beautiful, romantic (but great for families also) and my dh likes the food court. It has buses and a boat that can take you to DTD. Truse me you will like it.

I didn't vote because we've only stayed at one moderate, CBR, so I can't compare. I CAN say that we LOVED the tropical theming of CBR and thought it was a beautiful resort.

We haven't been yet, thanks to everyone for posting, we're going to give CSR a try in August after reading all the fabulous reviews on these boards!

Riverside for us, hands down. We started going for extended stays about 15 years ago, this was the first resort we stayed at when it was Dixie Landings. Even though we are DVC members now, we still take a weekend or so and stay there once in awhile. When we go on stays longer than a week, we will stay at POR for the weekends due to the points being so expensive during that time.
We love it obviously because of the memories with the kids and their friends in prior trips. We love the theming and the grounds. Boatwrights is a favorite restaurant of ours. The bus's have never been an issue as we had never had a problem with them. All the quiet pools gives you an extra place to swim when you don't feel like the bustle of the main pool. :yay:

My family would all vote for POR (Alligator Bayou section). We have stayed there about 7 times out of our 11 or 12 trips. It feels like going home whenever we visit. It's nice to be totally relaxed with your surroundings. We love the food court and also the boat ride to Downtown Disney.

We also enjoyed CBR when my kids were younger. It does seem like a place that attracts more young families.

Never been to CSR but, as I say, HOME SWEET HOME at POR !!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

The PO Riverside is wonderful! We've stayed there twice and loved it each time. They have a wonderful dining area, and the grounds are fantastic. We really wanted to stay there again this year, but it was sold out for the dates we wanted. :sad1: So we're going with the CBR. It looks lovely too though, so hopefully we'll be able to add another favorite to our list.

POR is our favorite. We love the landscaping. Even though it is a big resort it is quiet and doesn't feel crowded.

So far I've changed my mind 4 times!!! :upsidedow

Right now, I'm leaning toward POFQ. I have a bad knee, so smaller sounds better. I'd rather do all my walking in the parks. :goodvibes

But, we really did like CSR..... And CBR and POR sound good too....
:confused3
How am I going to choose????????

Stayed at CSR (our favorite resort) prior to having total knee replacement - requested Cabana's B close to bus stop 4 - re explained upon check-in - and got the perfect room - close to quite pool - close enough to main pool - and if I didn't want to walk to El Centro - took the bus (last stop at front of resort). Just returned from a stay prior to Christmas - had knee replacement aobut 5 months ago and didn't know if walking as much as you have to at WDW would be a problem - made same request - same explanation at desk - got rooms in the same area. Did less walking than when we stayed at POFQ and I really like that resort too, but my vote is for CSR! Enjoy where ever you stay.:)

We have only stayed at POFQ and CBR. But we loved POFQ sooo much better. After long days at the big parks, it was nice to come "home" to such an intimate resort. I liked that it was shady and my two kids really liked the pool and the boat to Downtown Disney. We also walked down to POR and used there food court and pool (perfectly legal and pp said :goodvibes ). I've never been to the real New Orleans, but the buildings reminded me of New Orleans Square at Disneyland.

Just showing CBR some love. I really liked the vibrate colors, distant view of the fireworks and being able to open my door and walk right into a hammock and beach =)

Thanks for the great tip! I never thought of telling them about my knee when asking for a room close to the bus stop. I'll try that this year. :thumbsup2

POFQ is my fav! It's nice and small, DS made friends at the pool and we ran into them around the resort all the time, really short walk to everything (food court, arcade, buses and boat), and it was so quiet that if we didn't know better we would have thought that we were the only ones on our floor for our entire vacation!! That being said, I think I might want to try CSR next time....I just love the looks of the resort.

Sounds wonderful! We thought CSR was a little too big for us. We were really far from the main building and didn't have much luck getting a golf cart ride.

How is the POFQ food court? And, are the bus/boat waits long?

I voted for the CBR. Altough, it is also the only one that I have stayed at. If we hadn't fallen in love with the WL, we would stay there again. If and when the WL isn't in the budget, we will stay there again.

We love POFQ
Did not like CBR-Busses were very bad

We are staying at CSR in December

We thought the bus service at CSR was really good - better than Saratoga Springs. I hope you have a great trip.

Thanks for all the votes everyone! We've decided on POFQ. It sounds wonderful!!! :goodvibes

Not even close. CSR is the one for us. The relaxing feel of the entire resort puts it over the top for DW and me, but the fabulous pool really does it for the kids. They absolutely can't get enough of the Dig Site. Truth is, I can't either. We're definitely Pepper Market people, and being on the DDP makes it an exceptional value for us (using CS credit for pretty decent fare!).

Plus, as others have mentioned, the bus service there is top notch. FAR superior to any other resort we've been to, particularly including Poly and the All-Stars, which were horrible and bad, respectively.

We stayed at CBR a while back, and while nice, it just didn't "hit" us the way CSR does. Truthfully, it felt rather "charm-free" to us, but others feel the same way about CSR.

Both of the FQ resorts would come in second, with POFQ being a tad nicer because of the smaller size.

Heck, I think you could stay in a cardboard box when you're at Disney and still have a great time! Have fun with the planning process!!

Now, don't confuse me!!! ;) We've stayed at CSR and LOVED it  . Our only issue was resort size. We all got VERY sick - So sick I couldn't make it to the front to get a cab to the hospital! :scared1: We ended up getting a doctor to come to our room. So, I'm sure my memory makes it seem much bigger than it really was. I really want to stay there again. The staff was very sweet. They brought us more sheets and pillows every night without any complaints (sick 4 year old....). We are going to give POFQ a try, but I'm sure we'll be back at CSR again. :goodvibes
