Which MODERATE is the BEST for you?

We have stayed at POR and CSR. I like POR the most the theme was more my style. I liked CSR and the transportation was better than POR. But I just prefer POR, the food court was better and I really liked the layout and beautiful grounds. Dont get me wrong CSR was a beautiful resort but it seemed we did more walking there.

Por Orleans French Quarter is my favorite, by far! we have stayed at the riverside before and it was nice, we have stayed at the manchine part of port orleans too and did not enjoy it all that much. (while we were there they were doing construction, it was pretty loud, and it felt like a ghost land! we hardly ever saw another guest the entire stay! we ended up asking to be moved into the riverside area and enjoyed it very much!) anyway, the french quarter is where we have stayed for our past couple trips! our family loves the pool! the food court is delicious and i love the setup/layout of the resort. the resort is smaller so you are always just a short walk to the bus stop, pool, or boat dock! the port orleans french quarter is where we will be staying next month! (can't wait!!)

I have stayed at POR, POFQ, CBR and CSR. I liked all 4 actually. That being said, the 2 POs are my favorites for sure. It's a hard call between the 2 - they both have so much to offer. :goodvibes

I have stayed at all of the moderates and I just love everything about POFQ and POR, but the edge would definately go to POFQ for me. I love the size, the atmosphere, theme, grounds, boat to DTD, peaceful and quiet, and the location of the resort is great.

I have stayed at 2 of 4 mods. CSR is my fave. Love the more deluxe style rooms, great buses, and awesome pools/slide/hot tub. POFQ was just okay to me. The whole mardi gras theme does nothing for me. I thought the pool was boring.

FQ and POR.

boat to DTD, food courts, and pools. FQ has size benefit, every room is close to the bus stop. POR has benefit of fishing, and bigger food court, including make your own pasta! MMMMMMM

Nothing can compare with POR. The best and CBR is second and could be first now that they are getting queen beds by May 2013. CSR is a waist as if they put you in neverland it just compounds the poor service at PM. The thing with CSR is it is a motel and when I go to WDW I want to stay at a resort. At CSR food is a problem as it is set up for convention goers and they run you over in the PM etc... Food service is just plain RUDE! Food court does not compare with POR or even POP. At CBR you don't feel spread out like you do at CSR. I have never done POFQ but if I wanted small then that is the only place to go. You almost have to try them yourself as what we experienced may not be what you do.

We have stayed at all the moderates at one point or another over the last 19 years.

For us...its POR hands down and there is not even a 2nd place in our race.

We like the boat to DTD, very relaxing. We like the landscaping, the food court, the pool, the pool bar and most of all......

We like to tip a few at night and going to Bob's show in the River Roost is alot of fun and we dont have to worry about getting behind a wheel to drive to another resort when we leave Bob.

Summer vacations is a deluxe resort...Poly or YC, Thanksgiving / Xmas season its POR.

We have no problem staying at POR in the summer either. We did it last year for 15 nights and it was all good. Althougjh we did miss our balcony during the day and at night.

We just bought a chair from walgreens and we made our own balcony outside our room and had a few beers at night. It was all good.

Our favorite mod is French Quarter, for its small size as much as its theming. I hate feeling crowded, and I've never felt that way at POFQ.

I love POR. Everything about this resort is great to me. Great theming, great food court, Yehaa Bob in the lounge at night, good pool, good activities, it just feels like home.

This! We also love the landscaping which provides some shade as you walk about the resort (loves the bunnies everywhere), the quiet pools, the boat to Downtown Disney, the carriage rides and to mention again.... the food court has some really nice selections.

We have taken the boat to POFQ and enjoyed their pool as well :goodvibes Missed the quiet pools and the landscaping there.

We have also stayed at CSR. The rooms are lovely and the pool is great. We did not care for the food court at all....having to wait to be served beverages and refills and it just seemed more unorganized to us. Also, just didn't get that relaxed, vacation feel walking about the resort.

Busses seemed the same everywhere to us (including ASM and POP) Every resort has it's issues but overall a great service!

POR is just being refurbished and we are heading there in a couple months!!!

I will have to try Caribbean Beach someday too! But that would mean not staying at POR..... not sure I can do it!! :goodvibes

I was thinking we were going to be heading to Art of Animation next spring, but the more I research and think about it, the more that POR seems to be our destination! Thanks everyone, for all of your opinions and ideas as this will be our first disney trip and I need all the help I can get!

For us, it's a toss up between POFQ and POR. If the French Quarter had a better pool and food court then it would be our favorite hands down! We love the smallness of the resort, the shady "streets," andthe overall theming of the resort.

However, Riverside has the better food court BY FAR!! It also has the best pool and slide. We do like the theming at Riverside, as it just about like being at home. What I don't like about Riverside is the size of the resort with the multiple bus stops.

The location of both resorts is perfect for us, so really I guess it's a tie between the two.

My favorite the POR resorts. Dh favorite CSR. We have yet to try CBR but once it gets queens I can see us staying there.

Next year I want to stay at POR. I think we are done with POFQ while I love it I think the kids are outgrowing the pool slide. And since we do quite a few resort days the pool is important to us.

we've stayed at pofq, por, cbr, and csr. i like them all for different reasons. pofq the small size lets you stay even in the farthest room from the pool/food court but you're still not much further than a lot of resorts preferred rooms, beautiful grounds, one bus stop and if you share with por you're still usually the 1st stop plus the resort is fairly centrally located with all the parks. por also location to parks, great pool, beautiful grounds, love the royal guest rooms. cbr kind of spread out but very relaxing resort, great room service, great food court area, super short bus ride to epcot and dhs. this is a favorite resort for us during food and wine. my daughter loved the pirate room. csr was great. loved the pool area. like that they have some of the amenities of a deluxe resort (suites, spa etc...) but at mod prices. went with my neice super picky eater so the 24hr mcdonalds up the street was great.
