There will be five of us staying in a moderate. We've never stayed in any of these. First time to disneyland....two adults and three children (ages: 9, 7, 5). Which moderates accomodate five people?

We like the Best Western Park Place Inn. It's right across the street. It's basically a large room with two queen beds and a sofa sleeper. They have a free breakfast which is handy. The pool is pretty small if that is important to you.

Candy Cane Inn has a room that sleeps 5; not too expensive (mid to high $100's depending on timing). Clean comfortable rooms and close to the park.

The Howard Johnson on Harbor has rooms that accomodate five people. Its a hotel style with interior corridors rather than the motel style thats quite common around DL. They dont have an onsite restaurant but Mimi's is right across the street. Parking is free. Its about a 10 minute or less walk to the park gates. They also have a kids pool/spray ground that your kids would really enjoy.

The other I would recommend would be the Desert Inn and Suites. They have plenty of room configuration that would sleep 5. They are a motel style, have a free (small) breakfast and are right across from the entrance to the parks. They do charge for parking however.

The Doubletree is a couple of blocks away, but I believe all the rooms are suites, with a separate bedroom from the living room. As long as you get two double beds, you'll have three beds including the sofa bed.

Candy Cane Inn, Anabella, and DoubleTree are a few of my favorites.
I just recently returned, and was able to tour Anabella. :)

We're booked at the new Springhill Suites, set to open in November. It has rooms with 1 king or 2 queens and a fold-out couch. They also have kids suites that have an additional set of bunkbeds along with the amenities of the previously mentioned rooms.

Brand new hotel that offers hot breakfast and supposedly will have a rooftop swimming pool. It's going in at the corner of S. Harbor and Katella.

We have 5 people in our family. 2 teen boys, 1 teen girl & us parents. We usually get a 2 room suite with 2 queen/double beds & the pull out couch bed. We have stayed at Embassy Suites Anaheim South (our favorite), homewood suites, hampton inn & suites, marriott suites. There are a lot to choose from.

We are a family of five, with 3 kids around the same ages of your 3 kids, and we love Portofino Inn and Suites. They have a kid suites , which have a king bed for parents, and separated by a double sliding door, bunk beds and a sofa bed. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave. Nice pool, and a mini mart, which can come in handy. Also about 15 minute walk to the entrance of Disneyland resort. But also, the ART stops in front of the hotel, first one on to Disneyland, and the the first stop from Disneyland. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is clean, employees are friendly, and the kids suites ROCK!! We have been to Disneyland several times, and we have stayed here 5 times!! Our kids love it!!! They each get their own bed!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
