Which moderate for Christmas time?

My friends are planning a 4 day trip in early December, they asked me which moderate resort would be best for the holiday feel. I have never been at Christmas time. What is the best moderate for the holidays?

I was thinking of telling them to go with CBR, I know they will like the food court (very basic eaters) and they want something "bright". They thought my pictures from AKL (my favorite) were too dark. Any opinions?

Well since you said they thought AKL was dark I'm afraid that POR (mansion sections) and POFQ might be dark as well, they both have dark mahogany furniture in the rooms and POR also has that rustic cabiny feel in the AB section. Since they are looking for bright I also recommend the CBR, but they might also enjoy the CSR (midwest feel).

I think either POFQ or CBR would be the best if they want a colorful resort. There are alot of pics on www.allearsnet.com of all the resorts, inside and out. Plus they can look at the fact sheets of each resort to see what they have to offer. I think the boat to DTD from POFQ is a plus. Pass it on to your friends and I'm sure they'll be able to choose one for themselves.

For bright, I would go with POFQ. CBR is good, but it is also spread out, so some areas feel a little more dark and isolated. But, either of those would work.

CBR would be a great resort at Christmas. It is very festive.

I have only been at POR for christmas decorations and when I did go it was the beginning of the holiday season so I dont think that all the decorations were up.... I have asked this same question in the past and thru pictures (buzz CSR pics) it seems that CSR has the best overall Christmas feeling.

CSR has the best Christmas decorations of all the moderates (imho). Also, the rooms at CSR and at CBR have "lighter" furniture -- more brightly colored than either of the Port Orleans resorts.

Although you frequently hear about the moderates being "spread out" with lots of walking -- in our experience, they all have "short-cuts" with bridges or pathways to get to the central location with fewer steps if so desired.

at CSR there's a nice lounge for adults, great bus service, work out facility, hot tub, quiet pools etc.

Just seems like so much for a moderate price. When we walked around last September we immediately picked it as our top choice (next to SSR).

The Christmas pics are gorgeous.

Also, the lighting inside the rooms at CSR is better (brighter) than at the other moderates. I've read that that is because CSR is a convention hotel and the folks there for business need good room lighting to work by. Whatever the reason, it's great for those of us who like lots of light in our rooms.
