we have stayed at CBR and loved it. great theme and pool area. this was our first trip back in '96 and we absolutely loved it. CBR is a big resort, so, if you want to be close to the main pool and the food court, you want to be in Martinique(bldg 25 or 26). didn't recall illuminations being too loud from where we were. we did drive through this year while we were there and you can see the new pop century resort from CBR now.
We stayed at CSR this year and liked it for the most part. really great pool area and the food court wasn't too bad once you got used to it. transportation system was the best we've ever had on property. this is a big resort and there can be alot of walking involved. one thing that is different about this resort is that the main pool and the main food court are not in the same place like the other resorts on property(this really only makes for a problem getting refills on the drinks after 6pm--lots of walkin.) we stayed in the cabanas section, bldg 8A and found this to be a great location in reference to the bus stop, main dig site, and pepper market. This was a very nice resort and the only time we even noticed the "convention" folks were at lunch in the market. It is a little strange walking in with swimming trunks on and people are in business suits, but, oh well. I would recommend this resort.
We will be staying at POFQ for the first time in April, so, I can't help much on that one. whatever you dedice, it will be great I'm sure.
