I have so many questions....esp with deciding where to stay. So we are a big family, 4 kids from 11 to 7 months. We are trying to book 2 or 3 nights prior to our off site reservations. Is there a resort that we could hang out at all day and not be bored? If so which one? I think we have decided that we will be getting 2 rooms. Thanks!!

For the age of your kids I would pick CBR if it was a month that is warm and you know for sure that you could use the pool. They have 2 slides in the main pool and also a nice fenced in kids area with a pirate ship and water features. My kids and DH husband also liked the arcade there and I think there are paddle boat rentals.

I'd also vote for CBR. They have a great pool area, including the kiddie area for little ones, as well as the beaches with hammocks and lounge chairs. Bike rentals, watercraft rentals. Jogging/walking trail, playground, volleyball and arcade. They run programs in the pool area during the day as well.

The moderates will all have about the same recreational opportunities. Value resorts are primarily pools (with no slide), playground, arcade and of course the walking trails throughout the resort. But the moderates will offer more.

I would try AoA or Pop, we did 2 rooms at Pop last May with 5 kiddos 11 to 3 and had a BLAST!!!

Hi! We hope to have a big family like you one day :-D I would say it depends on budget, as with most things. If you can get any kind of discounted rate, I would say CSR no hesitation. We've stayed here twice now and it's been amazing. The rooms are huge and have two queen beds instead of full. And they are seriously the most comfy luxurious beds ever! There's also the sliding wooden doors that separate the sink/changing and toilet (with door too!) area from the living space. You can fit a pack n play in there comfortably and the rest of the family can use the room. With a white noise app on a smartphone you're set :-)

As for the resort itself it's gorgeous landscaping. The pool, the Dig Site is AWESOME for kids. There's a pool bar for you guys if you drink. There's also beach volleyball there for guests which is really cool. There are hammocks, a great quiet pool, a 24 hr fitness center, spa, huge laundry room. As for food options, if you like mexican or spanish inspired cooking that's a plus as it's the theming. We make a lot of adr's and keep food in the room so we didn't even go to the Pepper market this time. But there's Cafe Rix which makes quick service burgers and such, Pepper market and maya grill. And rix lounge at night is a nightclub. There's also a marina but the operating hours for water mice rentals are questionable.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!!!

Port Orleans Riverside hands down! We just stayed in August and I can't wait to go back. Wish we had spent more time at the resort.

AKL! Animal watch!

The OP was looking at Values and Moderates ... AKL is a good one to hang out all day though :thumbsup2

If you stay at aoa you can stay in same hotel room and adults have a closed off bedroom. Fun playgrounds and water areas and the pools are awesome

My kids really enjoyed Port Orleans French Quarter.
They enjoyed the pools,

I can't even remember how many orders of Beigets they ate.

They enjoyed taking the boat to Riverside and to Downtown Dsiney.

CBR: huge pool and water area, rentals for the lake, pretty walking areas, playgrounds

POR (I haven't stayed here personally): pool, rentals, boat to DTD

Loads of stuff to do at POR or you could stay at POFQ and wander to riverside too! Riverside is my fave out of the two but easy to access both from either! Have stayed at csr too and agree there is plenty there for everyone! The values are fun for kids though if only for 2 or 3 nights! Haven't been yet but AoA looks amazing and we plan to do a split stay next year starting there for a few days. Only 3 of us so won't be getting a suite but you could all stay in a suite there and the suites look AMAZING!!

Personally I LOVE Fort Wilderness and feel you could spend more than just a day there and not feel the need for a park.

Also - just one cabin would sleep all of you, and has a kitchen which is so helpful with the baby :)

I agree with this. Pop is incredibly fun. And i find that they have the best poolside cast members I've seen yet. They run the all day activities so well making it so much fun. Also the arcade at pop is really one of the best according to my son. While we loved all star movies, sports, CSR, and POR too, id recommend pop.

Since AoA is new I would also be tempted to stay here. Dont forget thou if you book pop you can always walk over next door and check out AoA.

for what its worth, our favorite moderate is POR.

I agree with the others that suggested CBR. CBR is a beautiful resort and we had a great time as we spent 2 or 3 days out of our trip hanging out at the pool and exploring the resort :goodvibes.
