I was just wanting some opinions on which moderate resort has the best bus services.........we have only stayed off site or value,,so any info would be great! Thanks in advance!

We have stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort two years in a row (with third coming up very very soon) and the bus service was great both times. The CBR doesn't share buses with any other resort. There are bus stops at each and every village so you are never far from a stop.

The buses will make their way around the resort and then head on to your destination. Doesn't take long at all!

The buses came very frequently. The longest wait we had was 20 minutes and that was because we just missed the Epcot bus. I mean we literally saw it driving away as we walked across the parking lot. But, it was mid morning too. Definitely not peak time.

Some times, during the early morning hours, there would be multiple buses at the stop at once.

I remembered timing our drive to Hollywood Studios. From the time we sat down on the bus, made our way around the resort and then pulled into the Hollywood Studios bus stop, it took just 11 minutes!

The CBR is centrally located so it never took us long to reach any Disney destination.

We stayed at POR and it shared with POFQ. Busses stopped at POFQ first, front of POR next, then went around the back of the property. If you are at the last stop, you might not make the bus if it is very busy. We went in July and did not have issues except trying to get back to the resort.

CSR - does not share buses with any resort. Mostly empty during the day due to conventioners staying at the resort who go to meetings and not the parks.

I vote for CSR hands down. We stayed at POR 2x. While I love the resort, the bus service was not very good. When shopping for a mod last year, I did lots of research here and consistently came back to CSR having excellent bus service. We chose CSR, stayed there in Aug 2007, and were very happy with the bus service. Some say it is because CSR is a convention resort, so less vacationers. Maybe that is part of it, but I also noticed we got to all the parks in a relatively short amount of time. It was almost as if CSR was on some sort of easily accessible, less crowded or less conjested main road. Whatever it was, the bus service was great!

I have not stayed at CBR, but from everything I have read, it seems like CSR gets the best bus service reviews.

I agree with the above poster-CSR has fantastic bus service.

I have stayed at all four of them and we generally don't rent a car. So I have used the busses quite a bit during our times at WDW. Here are my thoughts:

CSR generally has very good bus service since many of the guests of that resort attend conferences and don't go to the parks often if at all.

We had wonderful bus service at CBR, it has seven stops total, but we never had to stand going to the parks during our nine days. I really was pleased.

POFQ is first to be picked up and dropped off when it shares busses with POR.

And last but not least, POR was fine when we stayed there. Although as another poster said, by the time it goes to FQ then makes the stops at POR, the people at the last stop might have to stand. During our Christmas week trip when we stayed at POFQ, there were many times the bus couldn't even stop at that last stop at Riverside but the driver radioed and told them to send another bus which hopefully happened very quickly. Again, when we stayed at POR we didn't have any problems.

All this said, I think bus service can be hit or miss at any resort. I have always had good luck at all the resorts we have stayed at except Boardwalk which was a bit of a nightmare. I think you just have to go in and be prepared that you may spend some time waiting and standing! And if you don't have to, its a nice bonus!

To be honest, I never base my choice of resorts on the busses, because its just really too hard to predict.

Another vote for CSR :thumbsup2

Excellent bus service!

Just putting in a vote for the Main POR stop. Rarely had to wait more than 15 mins for any particular resort. You do have to make one more stop but it is worth having the better chance at available seating if you are at a busy hour. :thumbsup2

We stayed at POFQ, and the only good thing about it was that it was the first pick up, so you always got a seat on the bus leaving your hotel.

When we stayed at CBR (2001), we thought the bus service was great :goodvibes. We never waited long regardless of what time it was....and as a pp said, the resort is centrally located so it doesn't take long to get anywhere ;). CBR does have several bus stops throughout the resort, but it does not share with any other resort :cutie:.

I have stayed at all of the moderates and hands down the best service was at the CSR.
I stayed in Casitas so I was closest the bus stop that was picked up and dropped off first, so I am sure that made my life easier. But at night when I was leaving the parks (along with everyone else) the line at the CSR bus stop was always the shortest. The bus system there was the best.
