Which Mod for a solo in December?

It looks like my mother/daughter trip for Dec may turn into a solo trip. I like switching resorts and have been thinking about doing 9 nights: 3 nights at AS Music, three nights at a moderate, and three nights at AKL. I can't decide which moderate though. I'm leaning toward POFQ or CS. Which is better for a solo in December? Or I may just go for 8 nights coming home on Sat 12/17 in which case I would probably just do two resorts spending four nights at each.

Also I know the Deluxes go all out on their decorations for Christmas, but how about the mods and values? My trip would be 12/09-12/18, by the way. Thanks!

Personal opinion, but I like the French Quarter. It's a smaller, very compact resort so your not walking a long way to get to your room. I also like the food court there. Think bignets. Coronado Springs just seems so huge and not very cozy.

I have to agree with Pennylynn, POFQ. Since it's very compact, no walking a long way to your room.

I just did a solo in May to WL and loved it. If you can swing it, try for a Deluxe, I think it's just safer especially if you'll be going to PI or BW in the evening and get in late.

And it gets dark early in December, remember.

I would lean toward POFQ, but it's likely to be booked already. It was booked for Thanksgiving week when I made my reservations in early May!

Debated on POR, which would be very nice, and decided on PC. Plenty of space for this solo traveler. I plan to spend most of my time in the parks and want to visit SeaWorld this trip.

I stayed solo at CS last Nov and loved it. I don't think you can go wrong with either CS or FQ, depends on the themeing you prefer this trip. I think 3 nights at a moderate or deluxe is too short a stay to enjoy all the resort has to offer if you are spending a lot of time at the parks/DTD etc. The four nights at a mod/4 at AKL sounds more to my taste.

Do a bit more checking if you can. The value and some mods seem to be overrun with POP Warner football teams (middle school age) and Cheerleader and dance teams in December and they can be a bit overwhelming if you are traveling solo and are not used to being around that many of that age group. Personally I avoid the value all together in Dec for that reason. The mods are probably better now that POP has opened. These groups don't always get a lot of notice that they qualify so money has to be raised quickly so they shoot for value resorts.

JMHO - I travelled solo more than once in DEC and they seemed to be everywhere.
