We are less than a month from our next trip- staying at POP for a second time, but already planning Oct. '07 trip w/ girls who will be a bit older and probably appreciate a little more "atmosphere". My only other Disney resort experience has been at POLY (ah, the good old days!), but a deluxe would be a little beyond our means. Suggestions for which Moderate might be fun for teen & pre-teen girls would be VERY appreciated!

CSR is my favorite moderate resort. Check out my CSR website below for pics, links and info. CSR is centrally located with short rides to AK, MGM and Epcot and about a 10 minute ride to MK. Blizzard Beach is across the street. I feel the transportation is the best.

THE PROS
No sharing bus service with other resorts
Centrally located with short rides to the parks
Largest hot tub on WDW property
Awesome main pool area with bar, snack bar, playground and kiddie pool
3 quiet pools
New shuttle service eliminates long walks to any of the villages
High speed internet service
WiFi available too
Free use of the gym
Spa
Fridge in the room
Coffeemaker in the room
Iron and ironing board
full room service menu
2 arcades
beautifully landscaped
central air, not a noisey wall unit
only mod to offer suites

THE CONS
Full size beds (kings size beds are available)
one sink

The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.

WOW Buzz, you really love the CSR! Your website is wonderful. Thanks for sharing. I will keep it in mind for future trips when the princesses are a little older. Looks great! :sunny:

Love POFQ, it's a small resort that has great theming. Plus it's right next door to the POR so the girls could walk down and explore it also. The boat to DTD is the best, it's so much better then riding the bus.

Thanks for the suggestions! You DISers sure are passionate about your resorts! I would still love to hear more opinions/ experiences w/ any of the Mods. Thanks again for the great info... will keep you posted on :wave2: our decision.

We just returned from POFQ with 2 22 yr old boys and 1 4 yr old girl. This is a wonderful resort, so compact and nice. The pool is great and as already stated since it is a sister resort you can use the pools etc at Riverside as well. You get two for 1. The rooms were really nice, the matresses were out of this world. My MIL wrote down the name of the mattress so she could order one. :rotfl2: We loved this resort so much.

Check out the sticky thread about it below. Great pictures etc.

We like the Caribbean Beach (Aruba Section) which seems pretty quiet and a short walk over the bridge to the center of town (Port Royal). Tried to get my wife to stay at CSR but she does not care for that convention atmosphere. CSR seems pretty nice to me, I like that Southwest Theme! Good Luck and resort on WDW can't be bad!!!!!
