Which MNSSHP Date?!

We have our trip planned from September 22 to October 6. We are trying to decide between the dates of October 1 (63$) and October 4 (70$). Last trip we did it our last night but this year the closest option is October 4. Wondering what the opinion is on this? Help is appreciated! We are indecisive!

I'd go with Oct.1st. Its least cheaper plus I'd hope its less crowded due to it being a weeknight.

I would base it on the plans for the next day and being able to sleep in if needed.
Next day should be a slower day IMO
I would pick 10/1 as its more centered

Does it being on a Thursday vs Sunday affect the crowdedness of the party?

I originall was going to do 10/1 but switched to 10/4 because we want to do F&W at EPCOT on Thursday instead of Sunday. I think you are good either day because the following day for both is a school day for locals.

I saw a couple MNSSHP where rain was an issue. I would book the earliest one you can in case you get weather and leave. This way you can stop at guest relations on your way out and there is time to get a free additional party. Having family dressed up and rain really don't mix and your going to be less tolerant with staying, especially if parades and fireworks start being canceled.

Oh man this makes me nervous now! I never even factored that into my decision last year. We jus thought it'd be cool to do the party our last day. So many factors to consider :/

They did squeeze in the parade and the fireworks happened really late but for families with children in costumes, it just ruined it for them. They all got offered another party when they went for a refund on their way out but of course, you need to still be there to use it.

We are two adults so we'd probably stay regardless of rain. What factors into them canceling parades and fireworks (heavy rain? Lightening? etc)?

I could only speculate but i'm sure any risk to CMs or Costumes and it's canceled. I doubt they would run a night themed parades as a rain version like they will do for the afternoon ones. Fireworks is most likely a safety issue most likely with lightning or winds to high. I've seen some fireworks in heavy rain and it's interesting how far the wander off.

What do you mean by more centered?

I just meant more centered in your vacation stay that way if 10/2 is a slow down day it's okay. You never really want your last full day there being a slow day for being out so late the night before, but you don't have kids and that may not play into it anyway.

We do MNSSHP with 3 kids and the next day is slow. We don't arrive at park until 11-12noon, which is my Epcot F&W day then

Well to be honest sunday might not be that busy either...since the next day is monday. But i figured that since sunday is still a weekend, it'll be more crowded than Thursday. Im sure either would be fine. but i'd pick the Thursday.

If it's rain alot during a party, they will give you free access for another party? I thought that they were no refund in case of bad wheather
