Hey there!

I've been reading great things about Mimi's Cafe outside of Disneyland but within walking distance to the neighbor hotels.
There are two, however. One at 1240 N. Euclid and one at 1400 N. Harbor Blvd.
Are they similar? Is one better? One closer? (We'll be at the Desert Inn at 1600 Harbor so I guess that is obvious...)

We'll have a car though, is it worth driving to the Euclid one?
Do they take reservations 30 days out like Disney?

Thanks for any answers! I know I can always count on my DIS friends!

You'll be just a couple of doors down from the one on Harbor.

& fwiw, there's a McDs next to it as well.
(which we found handy for quick grab & go's & because my 8 y/o eats about 16 meals a day.....& for 99 cent ice cream. :hippie: )

Have a great trip to Walt's Park. :thumbsup2

I've never been to the Euclid one, only the one on harbor so I can't really compare the two. We've only eaten there once and it was reasonably priced, absoultely yummy and filling. Since you'll already be on harbor, it's an easy walk, less than 5 minutes from your hotel. I don't know if they take reservations as we ordered take out since I wasn't feeling well.

I would recommend Mimi's on Harbor. The Euclid location is farther away and rather dirty. The Harbor location is near the HoJo.

The Euclid location is the original Mimi's Cafe, dating from 1980 or so. I wouldn't call it dirty, but it's not worth the trip considering the Harbor Blvd Mimi's is literally across the street from DL.

If you don't consider mice, gnats, and roaches dirty then I guess it's the cleanest restaurant in California.

I used to a lot of work at that location and I can assure you the parts the customers don't see are not the cleanest. Luckily there is a hospital right across the street. The don't have an emergency room though so you may have to run to Anaheim Memorial but I think that's the one that frequently announces people dead who are still alive. If they do pronounce you dead I would request they move you to another hospital where they will likely recognize your pulse as a sign that you are still alive.

That's a rude response to jlmarr's post.

Quest, you obviously know your Anaheim & DLR info.... (i like using abreviations, btw & don't care if you don't).... & you have the ability to make great contributions, but why is it that every 5th post of yours is a hijack & (imo) the internet equivilent of "hopping in our hot tub & farting"?

I will admit it might have been a little rude but it's the honest to God truth. It's a dirty little restaurant that I would not want anybody to knowingly go to.

I know you don't like me. I'm not a thread jacker. I don't have an agenda. In case you forgot my abbreviations post was my attempt at humor and apparently it offended you and Hydro. I have since apologized to him and we're on very cordial terms. I have no problem with the abbreviations. I have never said anything to the contrary. I USE THEM! I don't think I need to explain myself to you but I have. You can can accept it or continue believing that I'm attacking everything you say.

If stating a contrary opinion is a thread jack then you should report me otherwise you should shop stirring up trouble. I'm always gracious enough to admit when I'm wrong. I shouldn't have defended my statement that the restaurant was dirty when jlmarr told me I was wrong in that manner. Unfortunately there probably wouldn't have been good way to tell her that she was incorrect.

If you want to argue with me you can send me a PM.

Up until our trip last weekend we had only gone to the one on Harbor Blvd. This past trip however, we ventured out because we weren't staying on property and went to the one next to Triangle Square. That one was just as nice as the one on Harbor Blvd.

They're all over. You can find them in Irvine, Tustin, and a couple in Anaheim. The one on Harbor and the one in Irvine are my favorites.

I will concur that the French Dip is fantastic.
