When I do on line checkin can I request which loop? We will have golf cart so we won't have to worry about internal buses. We have stayed at the Fort many times but never in the tent/popup only loops

1500 is closer to pool and meadows trading post and campfire sing along. With under 30 campsites in the loop. 2000 loop is further away and has 60 sites. Because it is further away from everything you don't have as much bus noise. There are 2 comfort stations in the 2000 loop.

Can you request a loop at online checkin? Or is it best to call with request?

You can request a loop at at on line check in, I requested 1500 last year but was not able to get it.

Like snowmedic, I too have requested 1500 in the past and been given 2000. Since you have a cart it may not be as much of an issue. Like he says, there are 20-some sites in 1500 and 60-some sites in 2000, so the odds are on a random assignment basis that you end up in 2000. But lots of folks request 1500 as he said for its central proximity to things.

The one thing about 2000 is there are large groups of campers who request the group campsite Creekside Meadows which is already booked. If you end up in 2000, try to get either a very low number site or a very high number site (I think the highest is 68). They put groups who can't get Creekside down in the 20's-50's sites and on the edges if there are that many.

I wrote a post a few months ago about requesting specific FW loops in My Disney Experience (MDE) which becomes available at 60 days before check-in (also known as on-line check-in).

Requesting Loops In MDE

My advice would be to request 1500 via MDE and then try to check in as early as possible on the day of your arrival. Ask for a 1500 site even if you have to wait to set up on it while it's cleaned (if someone is checking out that day).
