hey everyone, i haven't really posted on here but i was wondering if you could help me out here.
my registration appointment at my future high school is next week and i have to choose a language.
my choices are:
*french
*japanese
*chinese
*latin
*spanish (i seriously do NOT want to take this, so i'm pretty much ignoring it.)

my first choice is french, i know a little bit and i want to learn more, but my appointment is on the last registration day so i think it might be full by the time i go there.
i'm kinda iffy on my back-up language, i don't know which one to take. latin doesn't appeal to me, though the latin students last year went to italy, but other than that, it seems like a dead language to me, but i've heard it's useful with learning romance languages such as italian and french. japanese seems cool, as does chinese as well, but ehh, i'm not sure...
anyway, help?
please?

Latin. Even though it's a dead language, it's very important especially if you want to go to law school, medical school, etc.

hmm, well i am interested in law...i'll think about it.

oh & i have to study a language all four years there, since they're a world language school, so yeah, if i pick the wrong language and reget it, i can't do anything about it...

I took Latin for 2 years, and it was pretty boring.

I would choose Chinese, if it's Mandarin Chinese, because it's supposedly the most common language in the world.

yeah, but it's pretty difficult for english speakers, but i'm still up for it if it comes down to that...and well, if latin was boring, i don't want to kill FOUR years on it.

Honestly, I'd do spanish because I think it would be the most useful in your life. My first year spanish teacher said french is easier to learn though.

It is because China's the most populated country. ;)

i'm pretty much near fluent in spanish xD
i'm mexican, that's why.

If you can already speak Spanish, you should try another Romance language because once you know one of them you can learn the others pretty quickly because they're all so alike.
French is really easy to learn too, it's not very hard at all.
And Japanese and Chinese look really hard, I'd love to learn them, but I'd probably get so confused and say everything that I shouldn't.

between japanese and chinese, I'd choose japanese...so i guess right now, my first choice is french and my second is japanese.

Latin is rly helpful but its also very hard and takes a lot of work to get good at. Its actually a "you either know it or dont" class

French would be my choose because I've heard its actually a easy language. Spanish can be useful but I find it pretty hard. Japenesse and Chinesse would be cool to know but IMO there way to much work to learn and never really be able to use

Then Japanese. I would love to learn Japanese.

French sounds so awesome! & Japanese is just flat out cool, ya know? So, in case French is full, I'll take Japanese.

Yeah...same thing with French too, I don't know anyone else to speak French to other than my classmates...

Oh well then no need for you to take spanish unless you just want a very easy A. I'd take french, german or latin.

Lol, my teacher was joking around with me about taking Spanish just to get an easy A xD

I'd love to learn Japanese. I think Japan is awesome.
Even though my S. Korean friend calls them monkies XD.

I took Spanish, because I honestly thought it would be the easiest out of the other options. My teacher was amazing tho. He would like, teach us the stuff through these cheesy, corny songs. And although they were kind of stupid, they stuck in my head so I was actually able to remember the stuff for the tests.

And then, when we answered questions right, he'd give us Crabby Patties! ^__^

If you don't want to take Spanish tho, then take French. IMO, that's probably the next best thing.
