We will be at Disneyland in late June for three full days. On our second day we plan on doing the EE to Fantasyland and Toontown Madness. It's me , dh and a 3 year old boy. Which land would you recommend starting at on our first day at opening time? We plan on doing a combination of FP and child swap to maximize our FPs.

I would get there at park opening when they have everyone line up on main street until the rope drops. Notice where everyone is going and go in the opposite direction. We are currently in the parks and going to tomorrowland at opening and walking onto rides (although since a few rides in Tomorrowland are open during EE you might want to head in the other direction on EE days).

I would go to Tomorrowland and hit Buzz Lightyear, Autopia, and Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage(if it's open). You can all enjoy those rides and their lines will be REALLY long by midday. Then cross the hub and tour Adventureland. Then do whatever.

We will have three mornings-one of which will be for EE and Toontown madness. On Sunday morning (which is not an EE day) we could do one of the two lands (Adventureland or Tomorrowland) and then on Tuesday morning we could also do DL for an hour or so and do the other land's rides before CA. Is it necessary to be at CA for opening? Do you think the Nemo sub. ride will be a FP ride? I am the only one of the three of us that will ride Space Mountain, so I can get a FP for that at some point. We will both want to ride Indiana Jones and we can all do Buzz, Autopia, and the Jungle Cruise. I think we can skip the rockets. If we did Adventureland first on the first day, then we could head to Pirates or Splash right after adventureland. It seems that there is more to do if we head to the Adventureland/New Orleans area first. What do you think?

Have to agree with this! Besides Fantasyland, these get the longest lines for rides that you can go on with DS. Then you can also grab fastpasses while you ride these for Space/Autopia/Buzz for later.

DL usually opens before CA anyway. Last June when we were there, DL opened at 8am, CA not till 10am. So you might still have time to do a land in DL, then still be at CA for opening! That's what I would do

I agree, most folks head to Tomorrowland.

While I agree with this, Adventureland also doesn't have a lot of rides that she can go on with DS that will have long lines the rest of the day (Autopia, Nemo, etc.)

Really only Indiana Jones gets bad and if DH or her wants to ride that, they can baby swap and make it much faster! Can't baby swap Autopia or Nemo!

Buzz & Space Mtn. were also open during EE when we were there in 11/05 & 6/06.

I thought only one land, Fantasy Land, was open on early on the day we went in early.

She was asking about her second day with no early entry. You are right, just Fantasyland and a few tomorrowland attractions are open during EE.

I'm another one voting for Tomorrowland. Grab the fastpasses and hit the other rides. It gets so crowded later in the day.

Especially with Nemo being most likely open when they go, it could be nightmarish around that area in the afternoons now! I hope they found a faster load/unload option compared to how the old subs did, that was a LONG line all the time!

I know!! Didn't I just read somewhere there will be no fastpasses for this ride......OUCH! Autopia is one of Ds's favorites and that gets nightmarish (is that a word????) about 20 minutes after park opening!

Yes, we went last June and the Autopia line can be brutal. It is true, there will be no fastpass for Nemo so I suspect that will most likely become or first ride if the line is anything like the old subs were.

I looked it up for us on dictionary.com:

night·mar·ish /ˈnaɪtˌmɛərɪʃ/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[nahyt-mair-ish] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–adjective resembling a nightmare, esp. in being terrifying, exasperating, or the like: his nightmarish experience in a concentration camp.
