I am considering getting a single cup coffee maker and I am wondering, which one? I notice that Keurig has a couple of different models although I haven't looked closely at them. Features I would want is adjustable cup size and a large resievour so I don't have to refill it often.

I don't know much about the small ones, but I have the regular size one (I think it is called the Platinum Edition) that I bought at either Sam's Club or Costco (they both have them and I can't remember!) for $129.95. It also came with the permanent filter and 120 k-cups. It makes your choice of 3 different cup sizes, which comes in very handy. Inside the box was a coupon code for buy 2 boxes of k-cups get 2 free through Keurig.

It was an amazing deal and I love it! I've seen the smaller brewers for around $100, and they only came with 24 k-cups. It just seems like for the extra $30 it was worth having all the extras. You will be hooked once you have one!

By the way, the two best places I have found to order k-cups online are www.coffeegiant.com, which has discounts all the time plus free shipping, and www.alpinevalleycoffee.com, which has free shipping over $30 and gives you a bag of free samples when you buy 3 boxes.

They both have very fast shipping and great customer service.

I think that's the one at Costco! If it is, I think I will get that one. Is the coffee hot? I love hot coffee.

We bought the one from Sam's as well and is just like the PPs Keurig. We buy some flavors at Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond carries a decent collection. More and more stores are starting to carry the K-cups so finding refills isn't that difficult. The one that has to be refilled for each cup is only about $20 less than the one with the large water container.

Go Platinum Edition or B70 that's what DH got me last year for Christmas. It was a QVC, TSV;). Also Dawn check out www.singleservecoffee.com. Like a dis for single serve coffe people.

Yes, it's hot. You can adjust the temp of the water, though. At least on ours, you can.

I have the B60 and love it.

I also have to say that Shoffee.com has great prices and selection on K cups!

Don't buy the B60 Special Edition. I only made around 50 cups of coffee with it when the pump went out on mine. Keurig replaced it right away, but it was still a PIA. I googled the reviews on this coffee maker before purchasing it, and saw many people were having problems with their pumps going out, but I purchased it anyway. :confused3 I believe the reviews stated Keurig had tried to make the pumps quieter and had been having problems with that model since the change.

Also, when I called Keurig about a replacement, the questions they asked me were, "Do you use filtered water in the coffee maker" (no), "Do you make hot chocolate in it" (no) "Did you install a filter in it" (no) and "do you use your own coffee in the Kcup reusable filter" (no). I now only use bottled water in my new Keurig and hope it lasts longer than the first one.

And FTR, I've not been very pleased with my Keurig. I think the coffee I made in my old coffee maker tasted much better than any of the Kcups I've tried. I've tried numerous brands and just can't find one I enjoy. I only drink one large cup of coffee a day, and DH doesn't drink coffee, so I really like the "one cup" idea. I'm just not pleased with the taste of any of the Kcups I've tried.

Hi, I just got home with my new Keurig. My initial thought was that I was going to buy it at Bed, Bath and Beyond, priced at $169 with my 20% off coupon for a price of $136. That unit came with 12 K cups. FORTUNATELY they were sold out so I went down the road to Costco for the same unit B70 for $139. That unit came with the refillable "My K cup" and 60 additional K cups of varying types including the Keurig sample pack. Good deal. It took longer to remove it from the box than to set it up and have a cup of very good coffee. I brewed it with the largest size, travel mug size, which is the size of my Mickey Mouse mugs. If I brewed a smaller size would it be stronger? Thanks

i love my keurig!

i will say to definitely register at keurig.com. they will send you a great coupon. i got a bunch of k-cups for $36 (with free shipping) on my first order!

I'm on my second Keurig. It make a quick cup of coffee without any coffee waste ............. when it works. Our first one started to only make 4 oz cups of coffee then the pump failed. It was replaced at about 12 months. My second one is starting to have pump problems after about 10 months of service. Keurig is not too helpful. The idea is nice, but I'd wait till they are more reliable.

I got my first Keurig at Costco. It broke down after about 10 months because of problems with the pump. Keurig customer service was great and they sent me a Platinum edition as a free replacement. Make sure you register your machine in case you have any problems.

I found some of the KCups to be weak in a regular size cup, but Newman's Own Special Blend Bold is fine for me. Nothing worse than weak coffee. You can also use your own ground coffee with the filter ($15) if you want to.

Like some of the other posters, the pump also went on my first Keurig (the Platinum model) after a short time and little use. They told me at B, B and B they've seen a lot of problems with these. I got the one from LuvLDM's link and so far, it's fine.

I just got off of the phone with Keurig. Very nice young man. He said that they made some travel sized K cups but that most coffees will taste fine at 8 ounces. The 8 ounces Hazelnut was better, a bit stronger. He also suggested getting bolder type coffees.

Yes, if you use a cup and it is too weak on the largest cup, go down to the medium cup. It took me a while to figure out what cups I liked at what setting since I like a strong cup of coffee. I find the bold coffee is fine at the largest setting and the flavored and medium roasts have to be at the smallest or medium setting.

I have had problems with my brewer but Keuring customer service has always been wonderful. It took them sending me 2 new machines to get a good one but I have not had any problems with the current one.

If you become a fan of Shoffee in Facebook, they have contests every now and then and you can win things like K cups, mugs, shirts, etc. They also have great mystery bags that you can purchase and get samples of say, flavored, bold, decaf, teas, etc...

.

I didn't have to buy the filter. It came with the Costco package. How good is that!:thumbsup2

I like the Newmans Own in my Travel Mug. Also extra Bold means more coffee in the kcup. GM French Toast is really good if you like flavored it's a seasonal one.& I have been enjoying the W. Puck kcups. another place that is great to buy from is www.coffeewhiz.com. Don't forget to register your new brewer & you will get a code for 2 boxes of kcups.
