Il Mulino. No contest; quality is so much better at the Swalfin places then elsewhere these days.

I actually like the small plates at the Tutto Gusto wine bar more then the food at the two larger restaurants, too. My tiny pasta dish there was much more authentic Italian then any pasta I ever had at Tutto Italia. Neither it or Via Napoli are bad, though. Just not as good.

Il Mulino is our favorite.

As for Disney run places:
Tutto Gusto Wine Bar - same kitchen as Tutto Italia, and you can order from Tutto Italia menu. No ADR's accepted.
Tutto Italia - like your best neighborhood place (unless you're from NY or NJ).
Via Napoli - the pizza is amazing.
Mama Melrose - maybe as good as your best local pizzeria, but without the selection of pizza.

I also wanted to add Il Mulino. we ate there last night and it was delicious. The service was also outstanding. You get a "signature" dining experience for the price of a regular TS.

With that being said if you want pizza and have at least 4 in your group....go to Via Napoli and get a metro. You can easily feed 4 for around $40 which is difficult even doing CS much less TS. Also the pizza is outstanding

The Filet of Sole at Tutto Italia was out of this world.

Another vote for Il Mulino. If you are looking for pizza, I would do Via Napoli. We actually also prefer Trattoria al Forno over Tutto Italia and Mama Melrose, so if you are on the DDP and want more Italian than just pizza, I would do Trattoria.

I absolutely agree with Il Mulino, for pizza I love Via Napoli's Proscuitto E Melone but for good Italian, Il Mulino, we'll be there this Sat. night...feel free to check out some photos and our last review...(there will be a new one soon after this Saturday's visit)...:teeth:

Another vote for Il Mulino at dinner and Via Napoli at lunch.

Il Mulino's quality is (to me) the highest on property (among Italian places), but they also allow you to get half portions of the pasta dishes, so you can try more than one dish in a single visit, whether it's getting two half portions yourself or doing some sharing among the group.

Il Mulino for the reasons the others have mentioned. Also, for a casual, intimate setting, Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar is tough to beat. Great place to relax, enjoy small plates of cheeses, antipasto, etc., and have some nice wines.

There's also Trattoria al Forna on the Boardwalk which gets good reviews, though relatively new. And Tony's although I don't think anyone would vote for that :crazy2: Tutto Italia would be my choice. Mama Melrose wasn't as authentic, and Via's dishes were more basic. Though I do prefer the atmosphere at Via Napoli.

I can't comment on the other two but I ate at Mama Melrose's for the second time tonight. I truly feel the steak there is a hidden gem. It was so good and that was the second time we have eaten there and it was just as good as the first time.

Yes, we also enjoy MM. I know that there are mixed reviews but I always get the steak and find that it is a delicious meal. My family enjoys this one so we go when we are in DHS.

Il Mulino is you do nto care that you are paying off a DDP. Delicious food, excellent service and a really nice atmosphere.

Thank you all for your votes & comments. For our next trip, we booked: Via Napoli & Tutto Italia for lunch and Trattoria al Forno for dinner.
