WISHES!
Here's my favs in order, lol!
1.) Holiday Wishes! Disney and holiday music - ahh!

2.) Princess & Pirate/Summer Nightastic fireworks - love the princess themed stuff but WOW to the pirate section!

3.) MK's 4th of July fireworks

4.) Regular Wishes... oh, just so sentimental to us to see this. Have a couple parts that just gives me chills every time.

4.) DHS' 4th of July fireworks - I like the upbeat music for a change of pace.

5.) Illuminations (prefer the version with the great holiday ending) Great show, but only gets #5 because I find the globe part boring!

6.) Hallowishes - great, but the music doesn't do it for me and draw me into the whole show as other Wishes fireworks do.

7.) Fantasmic. We find it to be boring for about 70% of the show!

Seeing the fireworks are a big part of our disney trips.... usually see MK fireworks 5 nights out of each trip. Funny, considering as a kid I HATED fireworks.

Wishes:

Why? The first time I saw wishes my mother was extremely ill. She had been seeing doctors all over the country and no one could figure out what was wrong with her although they all felt like she had something terminal. We had planned a trip to disney for over a year and my family insisted that we still go even though I felt like my mom only had a few weeks to live. The last night we were there we stayed to see wishes for the first time. I made a wish right when tinker bell came out of the castle that someon would figure out what was wrong with my mom and make her better. 2 weeks later a doctor at emory university in georgia did just that!!!!

I truely believe in the Magic of Disney!

what a beautiful story! Hope mom is doing well these days!

We love Wishes. We liked the original Illumination, BUT....that was until we saw the "Remember...Dreams Come True" fireworks at Disneyland and it was amazing. It combined Wishes with all of the things that make Disneyland great. It was incredible. However for WDW, it is Wishes.

ILLUMINATIONS!!!

I love the whole arc of the show. DH and I are classical musicians, and I really enjoy the Illuminations score better than any other program at Disney World. As a singer, my pet peeve (just me) is cheesy childrens' choruses - so there are parts of Wishes where the score just irks me - listening to the cheesy children's chorus singing "Wishes...wishes..." (Now, bear in mind, I really LIKE good childrens choruses - like the Vienna Boys Choir - I grew up listening to their recordings at Xmas time. I just don't like them when they get that cheesy quality.)

So I vote Illuminations for the music!:thumbsup2

While DH and I do LOVE Illuminations, I have a very special place in my heart for Wishes.

The year Wishes made it's debut, I was 5 days from leaving for a solo trip to WDW. I was so excited to see the brand new Wishes.

My friend was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma that day. I tried to cancel the trip but she insisted I go......so 5 days later I was standing next to the concession stand on the left side of the street - tears in my eyes as I watched.

Wishes is all about belief in your Wishes and that night mine was to bring Joan to WDW. One year later to the date with Joan in remission my wish came true.

Now when I watch - Joan has a better place to watch than I do....but she is still with me....each time. The difference is....when the lights go up I turn and look around. It is not all that unusual to see someone making their wishes.....their eyes filled with the same desperation mine had been at times.

Some times I watched in anguish, sometimes with joy......now I just make a wish that everyone else's wishes come true. It's a very good place to be.

"We must always believe in our Wishes for they are the magic in the World. Now, lets all put our hearts together and make our Wish come true".

As you can see by my user name Wishes is my favorite! Standing on Main Street with my family watching the beautiful fireworks and hearing Peter Pan say, "I wish we'd never grow up" . . . makes me cry every time!

Ok Cat.....you're right. As much as I love Wishes for it's special reason.....this is truly the BEST Disney Fireworks Show. Watching Tink fly all around the castle to Walt's...."for all who come here today, welcome".....makes Remember the best. By the way, how on earth does Tink do that??????

Brought tears to my eyes...Reminds me of my cousin and her husband. On April 30 of last year, her husband was diagnosed with leukemia. There were times we didn't know if he was going to make it. Finally, at the beginning of January, he was given a clean bill of health! And yesterday, One year to the day of his diagnosis, he ran a half marathon with my cousin. They raised a bunch of money for the leukemia/lymphoma society...
I always make a wish when I watch WISHES...Its usually always the same: "Be able to bring my kids back, just one more time." I love seeing their faces as soon as they step onto Main St and see the castle. They have seen it before, but the look is always the same: AWE. I want to remember that look so when they grow up I can remember them on the day they knew happiness:lovestruc

Illuminations at Christmas time with the addition of "Let There Be Peace on Earth" Always brings tears to my eyes. :lovestruc

Wishes! It's that whole castle in the foreground thing. But Fantasmic! is second...love that Mickey is the star and his finale atop the mountain in the sorcerer character gets me every time!:wizard:

#1 - Wishes
#2 - Illuminations
#3 - Fantasmic (A very sorry distant loser IMO I'm afraid)

Wishes is my favorite, but Illuminations is a very close second. Wishes has the better fireworks show, but Illuminations is very cool (except for that ball part in the middle.) They both have an entirely different feel to them.

I don't like Fantasmic at all. I totally skip it whenever possible.

Thanks for voting and posting, everyone! Wow! So many of you made me cry, but they're good tears.

I get goose bumps when the torches are blown out at Epcot, and the music and story are unbelievably good in Illuminations.

I love Wishes, too, though, with Tinkerbell's flight and the narration. I have always been so caught up in my own experience, that I have never looked around to see others making wishes. That touched my heart to think of that. It makes the whole experience more meaningful.
