Which is the better deal?

I am booked for the 4/3 deal at the Poly June 11-18. There are 2 adults, 1 child. I was thinking about doing the FD in late September, early October. I have heard that the FD in the deluxe isn't as good a deal as a value or moderate. If I change my ressies to FD in the fall, woudn't that be a better deal? It would be value season plus free dining, right? Not to mention better crowds and more time to save more spending money. Maybe I need to do a pro/con list Help me decide! You guys always have good advice about these things!!

You can probably check on the Disney site and price out the new dates you are thinking about. I would think for the Poly 4/3 would probably be better but I don't know what the rates would be for August.

In any calculations I have ever done, the FD is really only worth it with a Value. The 4/7 for the Poly is most likely a better deal. Yes, in Sept the rates may be lower but I don't think that much to compare. Call and see. Also, last fall WDW did have room only discounts but I don't think they even compared with the 4/7 price.

We are booked at the GF for the end of July (value season) under the 4/3 deal and I compared that price to a FD trip in Sept (also value season) and the 4/3 deal is saving us around $200 over what FD would save us . We are 2 adults/2 kids......although our kids are teens so they are priced as adults . We were originally booked in June with the 4/3 before they extended the dates.......and going during regular season under the 4/3 still saved us $66 over FD . I think the 4/3 deal is the better savings with the deluxe resorts (I figured ours to be 43% off the room rate) and as a pp said.....the values net the better savings with FD .

From what I've been told I think the 4/3nights deal is better esp staying at the Poly. I'm not positive but I don't think the Poly is one you can stay at on the FD promo. best of luch with your decision.

You can stay at Poly or any of the Disney owned resorts during free dining, provided there are still rooms available.

Using prices from Mousesavers.com, garden view room at the Poly for 7 nights.

Your trip in June under 4/3, paying for dining is around $2300 plus tax and tickets. With free dining, it would be 2485 plus tax and tickets.

So, I think you make out better under the 4/3 deal.

I dont know about the Deluxe but we are going to save $1365. changing from July 25-Aug 8 4/3 deal to Aug 16- Aug 30 Free Dining at POP. When we were doing July we were doing QSDP with 3 ad 1 child, but when we do the Free Dining we are 4 adults...my dd turns 10 in between our 2 dates. So we are getting more for less.
