Which is the best loop for tent camping w/4 kids?

I have read that tent campers are in loop 1500 or 2000. 1500 is near the pool and campfire program, but can be noisy with traffic. 2000 suppossedly is far away from everything, but has lots of families. I would like to be near a comfort station and where other kids would be, but I don't know if I would want to be too far away from everything. Getting around with 4 kids is a little difficult at times!!Any help that you can give me would be great! This will be our first time tent camping at Disney. I am hoping that my kids will really love it, as hotel rooms are too cramped for us!

Loop 1500 is my favorite. There are only about 30 campsites in loop 1500 and it is right across the road from Meadows Trading Post, a swimming pool and the campfire program. Any site with numbers 1501 - 1508 will have you practically right next to the comfort station and bus stop and site numbers 1526 - 1530 are fairly close. It is also a quick bike, scooter, or golf cart ride to both the main entrance and the marina/Trails End, very centrally located. I have also seen folks walk back and forth from 1500 to either end of the campground quite easily. There were several families that were in Loop 1500 when we were there in December.

Since, you will probably have a large tent or multiple tents, make sure you ask for a "large" camping pad. For example, I found 1506 to be a bit cramped with two tents and a rain fly. There was a tree and the electrical box that blocked some of the available space.

I have stayed in 2000 once, and found it to be quite remote.

We don't tent camp but I feel that Carol is right on the money. The 1500 loop is a great location and the noise is not really that bad.

I agree with the 1500 loop. I love 1506 (I have stayed there two years in a row) but if you have more than 2 tents to put up you may want another sight. The low 1500's are near the comfort station and the bus stop. You are right across the street from the pool, tennis courts, Maedows, bike rental, canoe rental and the campfire. We have only stayed in the 1500 loop but have checked out others and I think I will always come back to the 1500 loop.
