We have a SV room booked for the Poly for Labor Day wkend. I have read a lot about extensive construction on the quiet pool during our dates, when we first booked I wrongly assumed construction would be finished, or minimal at a push. Both our smallies will need to nap and will mostly stick to their regular bed time meaning that we don't want to be near construction for nap times and we would ideally like to be near the lagoon so we can watch the EWP and or Wishes while the kids sleep. The "magical" deal we booked makes upgrading impossible so we can't change room view so was contemplating either Aotearoa or Fiji longhouses as a room request. Ground floor I think. Should we keep the reservation?
Or our other option is SV at CR Garden Wing. I like the idea of walking to MK and both resorts are bucket list resorts of ours. Financially there's minimum difference, so I would be so so so grateful for some advice on what to do. Our boys will be 1.5 and 3.5.. If any parents with kids aged 1-4 or so have stayed in either location and have tips I am ALL ears!!

IN the same boat. my twins will be 3 on labor day week, likely still napping heavily. HEre is why I am not changing our reservation at the Poly: DIsney wipes them out and they'll sleep through anything. I was going to request Fiji, I think, though looking at the map I dont think it would be too terrible to be near the quiet pool construction. IT's still pretty far away so we have time to amend if needed. But we visited in December to go to Spirit of Aloha (skip it, by the way), and got a good look at all the construction. Even though it will be MUCH better in sept then when they had the lobby and main pool closed, the resort still looked beautiful and excited me to stay there. BIggest problem was a huge bottleneck of people with strollers waiting for the elevator, so ground floor may be smart :) See you at the pool.

Thank you for your reply :flower3: I really appreciate it! I think we will leave it for now anyway and I'm sure we will know more after the DVC official opening. Thanks for the tip re: Spirit of Aloha! We are hoping to do 'Ohana for an early dinner and Kona for breakfast while we are there! Good point about the ground floor, I was swaying toward a ground floor room for easy access with the stroller, never thought of the traffic jam for using the elevator!! All going well see you at the pool!!! We'll be the Irish family with two crazy monkeys! :duck::teeth:
