I have read conflicting things about getting fast passes from a different park when all members of the party are not present. Can anyone clarify?? If our family of 4 entered disneyland, could my husband run over to DCA alone a few hrs later and get us all RSR fastpasses, or would we all need to have entered DCA turnstiles that morning?

Yes,

That is fine. All tickets must be used to enter one of the parks that day, After that FP runners can go to either park.

I believe that the tickets have to be scanned at the park you want to get fast passes from. So you would all have to enter into DCA then you could leave DH and head to Disneyland while he gets passes. We have never done this so I could be wrong.

I agree with this ^^

They couldnt head to DL, because DH would need their ticket to get FP. Personally, I have thought you had to be checked into the park to pull a FP, but I have never tried. Seems like the recent consensus is that you just need to be checked into either park.

When we were there in 2012, the 8 of us went into DL. about an hour later DH took all 8 passes and went to DCA to get us all WOC fastpasses. The 7 others stayed in DL.

As I recall, I tried to do this last summer and had some trouble. DH, DD and I had gone into DL. DH and DD rode something or other that I wasn't interested in, and I thought I'd head over to DCA and pull fast passes for us all. I was only able to get ONE FP (for myself) since I had gone into DCA, but could not get FPs for DD and DH because although I had their tickets, they had not physically been in the park yet that day. To clarify, this was NOT for WOC passes - I think I was trying to get Soarin' FPs.

This information is incorrect. We FREQUENTLY will start at DL. We will all enter. Then, about 1015, *I* will take all the passes and head to DCA, and get RSR FPs. As long as you scan into one park, you can collect FPs at either park. We do this all the time.

The above won't work as you will need your ticket media to enter DL, so you might as well wait with hubby if you all enter DCA>

Exactly a month ago, we were in DCA and DH took all our passes into DL and got BTMM fast passes for the entire group. We had not been in DL yet that day, just DCA.

This information is incorrect. Splashmo is correct -- all tickets must be scanned that day at one of the parks, then the FP runner can use them for either park.

CMs have been known to give out incorrect information, which is where you probably have heard the conflicting information; and is probably where Dot2Vegas and others got theirs. But trust us, they don't need to be scanned at the FP park, just at a park.

Mal and Bob are 100% correct. The others are incorrect. For the last 10 years I and many others here have been able to 100% consistently get FPs at the opposite park once tickets are scanned at either park.

OP, I am not sure where you are seeing conflicting info on this (except in this thread LOL). The posters on this forum are quite consistent on this being doable.

Very good to know! And for what its worth, I have never tried to obtain FP at a park that we were not all in, I read what I posted either on here or another Disney forum some time ago. So you can definitely get misinformation anywhere! But on this board it is generally corrected very quickly!

I agree with everyone that said that tickets must be scanned at either park, and then someone from that party can go to the other park to get fastpasses. I did this for my cousins who were in town. They had early entry to Disneyland. I met them at the gate, then got their tickets after they entered the park. I went over to California Adventure, and when they let us in I got fastpasses for Radiator Spring Racers for everyone. :thumbsup2
