We are planning to visit In June this year to Disney. We have two choices of hotels. We are just wondering which one is better . The choices are Embassy Suites Hotel Buena Vista or Quality Suites Maingate East? Thanks

I haven't stayed at either one of them, but I would probably pick Embassy Suites if it were me. I love their free breakfasts! They have both a hot buffet and a cooked to order grill (if you like omelets, etc.).

They also have an evening social thing, but I don't ever go to that.

I also don't know either one from having stayed at them. But the Quality Suites is on Route 192 in Kissimmee (east of Disney's World Drive and east of I-4 as well) and the Embassy is in the general neighborhood of Downtown Disney (I believe that the hotel is on Lake Avenue before it turns into Sand Lake Road and is quite near Interstate 4). They're probably comparable hotels but Route 192 is awfully busy. Not that you should avoid it for that reason, but when people are heading to the parks or heading home from the parks that route can be slow (frustrating?) to navigate. I always find it easier to get to Disney properties from Lake Buena Vista to the north.

I have never stayed at either in Orlando and never a Quality Suite but often try to book Embassy Suites wherever we travel. My experience has always been excellent. What do I like most: the rooms are generally large with separate sitting areas, fridge and micro, there is a cooked-to-order breakfast included in your price as well as complimentary evening cocktails and snacks. At alot of the locations, the evening snack is almost a meal (or is a meal for the smaller kids) and is always enough to tide us over until we get seated at a restaurant. It's nice to be able to get a cocktail and snack while everyone is getting ready for dinner:thumbsup2

We stayed at Embassy Suites LBV last Oct. and loved it! The breakfast was awesome and we did take advantage of the manager's reception (free alcoholic drinks, wine, beer, and slushies for the kids) several nights. The suites were large and comfortable and the staff were very nice. The pool area is large and relaxing and there was a movie night at the pool during the week (Indiana Jones). I don't think you'll be disappointed if you choose Embassy Suites.:)
