Which is better: Swan or Dolphin?

Just wondering. We were thinking about taking advantage of the deal that's going on. We really like the boardwalk area. Thanks!

I wouldn't necessarily say it's better but my family prefers the Dolphin. Mainly because of Tubbi's (dd's favorite place to eat in all of WDW), the laundry room, and the balconies. If you're going to stay at either hotel, make sure you've signed up at www.spg.com to become a Starwood Preferred Guest--sometimes you can get upgraded for free. That happened to us on our very first visit. The Swan is smaller but the lobby feels almost claustrophobic to me.

The location is wonderful, the beds are fabulous, and the staff works very hard to make your stay magical. Hope you have a fantastic trip!

How many are in your family? The Swan has a sink inside the bathroom and outside - which helps when getting ready in the morning. I have stayed at both, and prefer the Swan. If you're traveling with kids, the Dolphin has more of a "wow" factor.

We've stayed at both and prefer the Swan because of the smaller size.

We like the swan better, but our ds are older. If you have younger kids the dolphin is probably better. Swan has queen beds and dolphin doubles. The dolphin is bigger, hence more walking back to room after big day in parks. Dolphin has more restraunt choices, they both share the boat transportation area, but the swan is the lst bus pick up. I like the swan double sink too. While one of the ds is showering in the am, I am using the outside sink to mix up a nice batch of koolaid or gatorade to take with us.

We've stayed at both and love them both! I think if I had to choose one I would pick the SWAN. The Swan is smaller and more intimate in an elegant way. The Dolphin is very grand with an elaborate lobby. The Dolphin does have more restaurants but is only a short stroll from the Swan. You really can't beat either of these wonderful resorts. They are both deluxe in every way and in the middle of the magic. Both are completely renovated now. Have a great time!
